Times have been challenging in my business since March last year, with the pub, restaurant and festival trade never having had the chance to recover. Current times remain the same and it will be a good while yet until we get even close to where we were less than a year ago.
Businesses of my size canโt survive on 75% less income and Iโve made the decision to wind down Crazy Daveโs Cider over the next couple of months.
The decision has also been influenced by a break clause in my 6 year premises lease in July this year.
Since I moved into Oak Tree Farm, my landlord (and now very good friend) has been extremely supportive of my business following my move there in 2017. It was a lifestyle change at the time, somewhere and something I loved doing and a great help for me in order to repair my mental health to enable me to be more supportive and available for my family. To this end, I couldnโt have dreamt of greater success. I could not have done it without them, especially Helen.
But itโs now time to move on. It comes at a time when Iโve just produced what I and many others consider to be my two best ciders to date. Iโm more than happy to end on a high.
Thank you for your support, for helping me, buying my cider as a customer and being around to make my journey as great as it as been. A real blast.
Thank you ๐๐๐๐.
