Do you suffer from shoulder pain or tension headaches? If so, you're not alone, it's a common complaint students raise in my Yoga classes.

We often hold onto tension when we are stressed, without realizing it, our shoulders end up hunched up closer to our ears, over time this can lead to shoulder pain and/or tension headaches.

If you'd like to learn how to let go of tension (not only from your shoulders/upper back), this is your invitation to join my next 6 week beginners yoga course.

🌟 Are you Pregnant and want to learn how to relax? 🌟
(even if you're not pregnant, give it a try).

Why not try this effective tool to help you let go of worries and physical tension.

✅ Find a comfortable place, where you won’t be distracted and either sit or lie down.

✅ Take a couple of moments to focus on the rhythm of your breathing.

✅ Once your breathing settles, on every EXHALATION, consciously let go of tension.

✅ Follow the rhythm of your in breath and let go with your out breath.

Try one or two of these, with each out breath.

❤️ Soften your jaw – check you have space between your upper and lower palate of teeth.

❤️ Relax your tongue in the base of your mouth.

❤️ Relax the muscles around eyes – drop your awareness deep behind your eyes.

❤️ Imagine you have a smooth forehead.

❤️ Relax your shoulders - allow your arms to rest and be heavy.

❤️ Relax your hands – open palms

❤️ Don’t over think or try too hard, it gets easier with practise.

I thought it was time to share a brief intro to who I am and the style of Yoga I teach.

I'm a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and I've been teaching Yoga in the Windsor area since 2002.

⭐️The Yoga I offer is aimed at helping you carve out some time in your busy schedule, just for you. The Yoga will help you to slow down, which in turn brings balance back to a stressed mind/body.

⭐️The gentle movements help you release tension, create space, flexibility and strength. It's so important to move our body, given our sedentary lifestyle.

If you're new to Yoga, you'd be very welcome.

Classes are open to both men and women.

I offer the following classes.
Pregnancy Yoga.
Mummy and Baby Postnatal Yoga.
Restore and Recharge Yoga.
Unwind Yoga.

I also offer one to one classes, which are perfect if you wish to tailor your practise to your individual needs.

💖 Love your heart this February! 💖

February isn’t just about Valentine’s 💌 -it’s Heart Foundation Heart Month, and it’s the perfect time to shine a light on heart health during and after menopause. ❤️

As your menopause coach 💪 I want to gently remind you of something really important: your heart health deserves attention -especially during and after menopause.

As oestrogen levels change, the risk of heart disease increases for women, yet it’s still often misunderstood or missed. Symptoms don’t always look like we expect - breathlessness, nausea, dizziness, jaw or back pain can all be signs worth listening to.

As your coach, I encourage you this month to:
❤️ keep moving in ways that feel good
❤️ prioritise stress management
❤️ know your blood pressure and cholesterol
❤️ tune in to your body — and trust it

Heart Month is a reminder that caring for others starts with caring for yourself. Your health matters, and your heart matters.

I hope you're having a good week so far, despite this rain.

Just a quick note to let you know that I have changed the time of the Friday class. I've made this change to give people more time between finishing work and starting Yoga, the Friday class will start at the slightly later time of 6pm and finish at 7.30pm.

Do want to unwind and de-stress?

Have you had a busy week and feel exhausted or stressed? Whether you have a busy work life, where you've spent hours in front of a computer screen, or have been taking care of your family, why not take some time out for yourself to unwind and recharge.

I run a Friday class at 5.30pm, which would be the perfect antidote to a busy life.
