I had the honour of meeting last night after attending his talk in London all about the breath (and his book with the same name).
It really was so inspiring. He is a fantastic, engaging speaker and what he shared was packed with useful insight and practical tips that literally everyone can benefit from.
As someone with a focus on Conscious Connected Breathwork , what really stayed with me was that we can practise conscious breathing all we like but if we aren’t breathing effectively on a daily basis, outside of sessions, it’s likely going to impact the quality of our lives.
So what we do outside is key 🔑
The research presented last night - and also in his book - includes many personal experiments that James undertook himself which made the whole thing more real to me.
It also showed how not breathing effectively has a direct impact on so many issues that people live with - insomnia, anxiety, depression, PTSD, body tension, and more recent research relating to ADHD.
It also highlighted my belief that often we may be just one small adjustment away from feeling more at ease - but sometimes need to be guided on how to get there.
Thank you James for what you do for the world, and a wonderful evening - and I’d highly recommend the book for those who are interested.
