If you’re anything like I used to be, today - another Monday - might terrify you.
The thought of having to show up, do life, and cope in a world that’s racing at a million miles an hour is just not the one.
So many demands, opinions, expectations, pressures, ‘shoulds’…
And yet so little space to slow down, breathe, think clearly, and take care of this life you’ve been given.
With this your instinct may be to do more, push harder, keep going…
But paradoxically, sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is LESS.
I’m not saying most of us don’t have responsibilities, commitments, obligations, and ways we need to show up daily. And this is different for everyone.
But often there’s things we don’t actually NEED to do , right here right now.
The issue is we are so deeply conditioned by urgency culture that everything feels pressing, even things that technically aren’t.
And that is exactly what keeps the pressure alive.
It’s relentless 😫
When we can learn ways to stop pushing, and let ourselves simply exist, things can become easier.
It’s a radical act in a word that glorifies the grind.
But it’s a beautiful one.
💫 One way to support yourself is to consider just one ‘to-do’ you could set aside today… even something small can be a start.
Wherever you’re at, I’m cheering you on this Monday!
Do you notice how this sense of urgency with everything shows up in your life? I’d love to hear your experience.
