What a wonderful evening at Castle View last night as Staines Salvation Army Church and Community Centre once again brought the spirit of Christmas to our Sky Lounge!

Their band and singers filled the room with beautiful carol performances, joined by all forty of our homeowners for a heartfelt singalong of Christmas favourites.

We also heard about the Salvation Army’s brilliant Be A Star campaign and other community fundraising efforts - inspiring work that reminds us what this season is all about.

There was plenty of time to catch up with our friends from the Salvation Army and fellow homeowners over hot drinks and mince pies, and together we raised an amazing £275 in donations - thank you to everyone for your generosity.

If you’d like to enjoy more festive music, the Salvation Army’s Carols by Candlelight service takes place this Sunday 21st December at 6pm at the Staines Salvation Army & Community Centre, Woodthorpe Rd, Ashford (TW15 3JY). 🎄✨

A Christmas Tree collection..... with a Castle View twist! 🌟 🎄

Our Craft Club have been busy bringing a touch of handmade magic to every corner of Castle View with beautiful trees now on display in the Bistro, Reception, Bar, Library and Sky Lounge.

Each has its own story and a lot of heart behind it. Our ‘Away in a Manger’ tree was created for the Old Windsor Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival, while the lovely angels on our ‘Angels from the Realms of Glory’ tree were all made during the Christmas workshop at Holy Trinity.

It’s been a real team effort and the results have brought a wonderful festive feel throughout!

Our Christmas Jumper Day Coffee Morning was full of laughter and cheer - with homeowners, staff and guests donning their most dazzling knits to support

With plenty of coffee, delicious cakes, and some lovely pop-up stalls, we raised over £300 for this fantastic charity! 🎄☕

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated and joined in.......it’s the joy and generosity of our community that makes Castle View so special, all year round. ❤️

Today was a beautiful December day here at Castle View Windsor – and our roof terrace looked as inviting as ever.

With sweeping views, cosy corners, and plenty of light, it’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, or catch up with friends, whatever the weather.

Winter has never looked so good from up here!

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas at Castle View! 🎄

Last weekend we were joined by the wonderful 12th Windsor Beavers and Squirrels for a mini carol concert that absolutely melted our hearts.

The group - aged just 4 to 8 - filled our lounge with Christmas spirit, singing classics like 'O Little Town of Bethlehem', 'We Three Kings' and a joyful 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas', complete with their very own cub scout accompanist on keyboard! 🎹🎶

Our homeowners joined in with the singing, and the room was full of smiles. The children even made and gifted us handmade Christmas cards and decorations.....which now have pride of place in our lounge.

To protect the children’s privacy, we haven’t shared their pcitures, but we couldn’t resist sharing how special it felt.....and pictured here is Events Manager, Melanie Pyne, alongside Beaver representatives.

A big thank-you to our young visitors — and yes, we sent them home with sweeties as a small token of our thanks! 🍬💛

We’re still smiling… Merry Christmas, Beavers and Squirrels! 🎅✨

Their collection raised an amazing £100, and they kindly went out and spent it on much-needed toiletries — including shampoo and shower gel — for the individuals and families we support.
