This week has been World Breastfeeding Week. I have supported Mums breastfeeding for many years in my role as a midwife, voluntary breastfeeding supporter, staff nurse in neonatal intensive care, and health visiting. Now in my role as a Craniosacral Therapist I bring all that knowledge and experience combined to give a holistic approach to support Mum's and babies feeding. Sometimes babies carry tension in their body which makes it more difficult to feed effectively. Craniosacral therapy can help release tension and aid more efficient feeding. Craniosacral Therapy can be very helpful for babies and children. I have worked with babies and children for over 20 years. Having qualified as a midwife I worked in Neonatal Intensive care for 15 years, so understand that some babies go through a difficult time and need support.

I am passionate about treating babies and I love being able to make a difference. I was delighted to receive this recent review.
"Barbara treated my 7 week old baby who was really unsettled, the doctor said he had colic symptoms and was taking a while to adjust to the world after him being born via c section. Barbara quickly established there was tension in his lumbar spine affecting his digestion. Since having just two sessions, I have seen a huge improvement - my son is sleeping better, is a lot more relaxed and settled. He feels so much lighter as has done a lot of unwinding during the sessions, I am amazed he has actually gone up a size in babygrows since the sessions because he is so much more relaxed and is able to stretch out, whereas before he was scrunched up and wouldn’t stretch his legs out fully. He also always had his fists clenched, but now he falls asleep with them open and relaxed. I cannot recommend Barbara enough, she is magic!"
