Hi all!

Forward folds tonight.
These are where you hinge from the hips to bring your upper body toward your lower body.
Each pose’s aim is to stretch the entire "back body"—including the hamstrings, calves, and spine.
The poses also calm the Nervous System by activating the parasympathetic nervous system,helping to reduce stress and anxiety.
The physical act of folding inward mirrors a mental shift toward self-reflection and mindfulness, helping to quiet "mind chatter".
Anxiety and Fatigue Relief by soothing the nerves and reducing mental fatigue.

Hi all!

Easy back bending tonight.
Let’s get our energy up, elasticise the back and muscles.

Backbends help bring your body back into balance.
Backbends strengthen your back, shoulders, chest, and hips.
They lengthen your spine, increase flexibility, and improve mobility, which helps promote good posture.

Although not a yoga asana, we’ll include the “z” pose, to engage the thighs and abs.

Having tight group of muscles in your hips,can impede full range of motion. So, improving your hip mobility will help prevent lower back pain/injury and boost explosive movements (for the athletes!)
Happy Baby Pose is a gentle yoga stretch that improves flexibility, relieves lower back pain, and opens the hips, inner thighs, and groin. It calms the mind, reduces stress, and releases spinal tension.

First class back today! Looking forward to seeing everyone!
We’ll be doing a couple of easier poses, just to get the body moving again in this cold weather!

Including Jathara Parivartanasana -(Revolved Abdomen Pose) which offers us, improved spinal flexibility,
core strengthening,
digestive health by massaging abdominal organs,
relieving lower back pain,
reducing tension in the spine, shoulders, and hips,
And also calming the nervous system.

This experiential training introduces key Marma points linked to the three Doshas, along with essential nadis used in therapeutic and ta***ic traditions. You’ll learn how to work with them practically through asana, pranayama, and meditation—no prior in-depth Ayurveda knowledge required.

By the end of the day, you will be able to:
• Locate and work with key Marma points within your yoga practice
• Apply pranayama and relaxation techniques for therapeutic benefit
• Understand and differentiate Ida, Pingala, Sushumna, Arohan, and Awarohan
• Explore how Marma therapy can support common ailments
