Just conducted a burial for an 86yr old lady who had nobody in attendance except an advocate. Broke my heart that she can live to 86 and nobody knows anything about her life.
I’m going to look into a befriending service for the elderly but would ask you all to get to know that distant relative or an elderly neighbour on your street.

Every life deserves to be celebrated!!

A funeral delivered by a celebrant can be as unique as the life we are celebrating. And this week, I’ve had two funerals that were very different to each other.

First we had a very traditional burial with 2 hymns and the Lord’s Prayer
Then I finished my week off with a send off for ‘Mr Christmas’ where many were wearing Christmas jumpers, and Mariah Carey belted out All I Want for Christmas.

It’s so rewarding to help families create the service they really want.
