Winsford Community Partnership

Winsford Community Partnership The reasons behind this are many but we face different problems today than in the past.

Winsford Community Partnership is a collaboration between local residents, organisations, and services working together to create positive, lasting change, particularly in areas like health, promoting healthier lifestyles and improving access to services. Winsford Care Community includes the local GP network, the wider primary care team, Social Care, Public Health, Education, Town Planners, Local Employers, Third Sector, Local Sports Groups, Parish Councils and of course the Community itself. The idea of the Care Community is to arrange care, interventions and provide innovative health solutions in partnership with the local community that suit the needs of a whole population and takes the views of all these stakeholders into account. An ageing population and increasingly complex care needs mean that single entities and indeed healthcare teams alone cannot solve all the problems we face. We will work in partnership to deliver not only a Care Community but a community that cares.

At Dad Matters Warrington we support new and expecting dads have the best possible relationship with their baby and family.

We take on referrals for 1-1 support to help dads understand what their baby needs from them and how they can improve their parent-infant relationship. We support dads with their mental health through peer support. We also give dad a hand in accessing wider services to continue support for them and their family.

On top of this we have several groups a month for dad to attend with little one and speak to other dads, our local coordinator and our brilliant volunteers.

If you need support you can self-refer or share this with someone you think may require some help:

“The support has been amazing, honestly from where I was at when I first contacted you to where I am now is worlds apart. My view and the way I feel about everything is totally different”
- One of our dads who got support for developing his bond with baby and support with his own mental health.
