We have been out & about this week at Bath & West Show and to a Youngstock talk held by Nantwich Farm Vets by kind permission of the Davenport Family🐮⭐️
Charlotte & Josh went down to Bath & South West Show on Wednesday. It was great to see so many new and existing customers. Thank you to everyone that came onto the stand🙌🏻
If you made an enquiry we will be back in touch in the next couple of weeks so please keep a look out for an email or a phone call 📞 📧
We also held our competition of ‘How many Peach Teats are in the box?’ The correct answer was 103, so well done to Olly Walton! We will be in touch with you shortly regarding receiving your £25 website voucher!!🏅⭐️
Meanwhile, Alan & Katy headed to Nantwich Farm Vets Youngstock Meeting on Wednesday evening. There was plenty of discussion points regarding milk replacer, colostrum & housing. It was great to see so many there invested in maximising the health, wellbeing and performance of the next generation🐮📈
Our take home messages from the evening were:
1. Calf rearing is like a cog ⚙️- if one aspect of it falls down, it will immediately have an adverse affect on growth & health.
2. Maximising health & growth rates in the first 0-12 weeks of a calf’s life will have a huge impact on her performance in her milking career📈
The standard of bedding in the picture above is quality!! No limbs can be seen, all nestled into the straw allowing calves to keep warm & be comfortable going into the autumn & winter ❄️
A big thanks to Nantwich Farm Vets for organising and to the Davenport family for hosting 🙌🏻
