Great day of learning for Sam from Foot Care by Sam! 👣

Today I attended the Demystifying Doppler & Diabetic Foot Screening Refresher, gaining valuable insights to support even better patient care.

The highlight? A fantastic hands-on session that really brought the learning to life and built confidence in practical skills.

It was also great to connect with three amazing trade stands, showcasing the latest innovations and support within diabetic foot care.

Tonight I put my nippers down for the evening and swapped them for a paint brush 🎨

Tried my hand at a bit of painting with a friend and what a night it was — so many giggles and a lot more laughter than talent 😂 But honestly, such a lovely way to unwind and try something different.

Back to visiting patients tomorrow… nippers in hand again, not my paint brush!

Jam packed two days in Liverpool at The Foot & Ankle Show. Amazing lectures, with outstanding speakers, a wealth of new information and knowledge has been learnt.
A lot more trade stands this year.

These photos capture a practical scenario focused on one-arm chest compressions, used when performing CPR on a child. It’s a physically demanding technique and one I hadn’t been taught previously, highlighting how important hands-on, scenario-based training really is.

Having attended many first aid courses throughout my career across different sectors, I can confidently say that Sue’s training not only covered everything I’d learned before, but also introduced new techniques and up-to-date guidance, which was extremely valuable. A thorough, informative, and professionally delivered session.
