Orchard House Care Home is purpose-built and carefully designed to support our residents to live happy and fulfilled lives. We provide Nursing, Residential Dementia and End of Life care and together with effective healthcare methods, we promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing within the home. Located over two floors, our home includes light and airy, lounges and dining rooms as well as spacious en-suite bedrooms, and a variety of communal spaces such as a quiet room and a hair salon. Our landscaped gardens are wheelchair accessible and designed to be a welcoming place to relax. Our team are dedicated to providing a person centred, engaging and stimulating resident focused community; where family is at the heart of everything.

Our Banners are up and presents are all nearly wrapped and all getting ready for our Christmas Wonderland, held from 18–20 December, includes visits to Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas, seasonal entertainment and confirming BAKES Little dough & waffle co. 's Journey for the RNLI Hooked by Kaitlin Crochet Creations will all be in attendance for the three days.

Kicking off our holiday celebrations at the Ely Cathedral Christmas market was absolutely perfect! The enchanting atmosphere, complete with twinkling lights and festive decorations, truly set the scene for a joyous season. We enjoyed a variety of drinks, from mulled wine to spiced cider, with each sip providing warmth against the winter chill. Our taste buds were treated to an assortment of cheeses, each one offering a unique and delicious experience from sharp and tangy to smooth and creamy. The highlight was savouring a classic mince pie, its rich flavours beautifully embodying the holiday spirit.

Bookings are now open for the Christmas Wonderland event at Orchard House Care Home.

This three-day festive experience, held from 18–20 December, includes visits to Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas, seasonal entertainment, and delicious winter treats such as waffles, pancakes, mulled wine, and hot chocolate.

Families, friends, and neighbours are warmly invited to book your visit to see Father Christmas. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

What an incredible afternoon we had with Pop's, belting out those timeless classics that brought waves of nostalgia and pure joy!
Dressing up in our pyjama's and Pudsey costumes for a fantastic cause—supporting Children in Need—was an absolute blast. The energy was electric, with excitement and camaraderie filling the air as we all united to make a difference. It was a day to remember, packed with laughter, music, and a wonderful sense of community spirit!

We're excited to announce a raffle to raise funds for Christmas presents for the children visiting our grotto this year. A huge thanks to Sweet Cwtch for their generous donation of a lovely baby hamper to aid our cause. Tickets are available at reception now, and we'll also be at Tesco on Friday, November 28th, in the afternoon. The raffle draw will take place at 4pm on Monday, December 1st, during the Christmas light switch-on at Orchard House Care Home.

Remember, remember the 5th of November! As we gathered in the garden, the air was filled with laughter and the crackling of a cosy garden fire. Holding sparklers that lit up our surroundings, we toasted marshmallows to a perfect golden brown, savouring their sweet, gooey warmth. Residents delighted in the crisp afternoon air, sharing not only the moment but also heartfelt memories of past bonfire nights and dazzling firework displays that painted the sky with vibrant colours.
