💔 Rest in Peace Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton 🥊
Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of one of boxing’s true legends. Ricky Hatton wasn’t just a world champion in the ring — he was a warrior, a fan favorite, and a proud son of Manchester who always wore his heart on his sleeve.
From unforgettable nights under the lights to his incredible connection with the fans, Ricky gave us everything. His passion, his grit, and his humility made him one of the most beloved fighters of his generation.
Gone far too soon at just 46. Thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone who was inspired by him.
🕊️ Thank you for the memories, Champ. You’ll never be forgotten.

💛 Cushty Farewell for a True Diamond Geezer 💎

Yesterday, we had the honour of leading a truly special farewell for a much-loved gentleman.

His life was celebrated in a personal and heartfelt way, with an Only Fools & Horses theme.

The bespoke coffin featured Del Boy, Rodney, and the rest of the gang — even the iconic yellow Reliant Robin Van got pride of place in the design. Lovely jubbly!

We also produced themed Orders of Service to match, and as the Only Fools & Horses theme tune played while leaving the chapel, there were smiles through the tears — and a few chuckles as we all remembered his brilliant sense of humour and love for the show.

At W Bailey & Son, we truly believe it’s a beautiful thing when families choose to personalise a funeral. These special touches help tell the story of a life well lived — and in this case, one filled with laughter, warmth, and character.

Because a funeral isn’t just about saying goodbye —

This Sunday W Bailey & Son Funeral Directors are taking part in the Deafblind UK Rainbow Run in Nene Park, Peterborough on 7th September 2025! 🌈

Alongside hundreds of fellow supporter, I'll be running through clouds of brightly-coloured powder paint and getting completely covered in colour to raise money to support people who are deafblind.

Your donation, whatever you can give, will make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by sight and hearing loss, enabling Deafblind UK to continue their vital work and reach all those who need them.
