Exceptional Obstetric Care – Thank You Dr Craig Anderson 🩺

“We just wanted to give a huge thank you to the amazing Dr Craig Anderson — who also happens to share the same special name as our beautiful baby 💙

From the very start, he was so kind, funny, and reassuring, and made us feel completely at ease during such an important time in our lives. The care we received from him and all the wonderful midwives at Wishaw General Hospital was truly outstanding, and we’ll always be so grateful for the support, compassion, and professionalism shown to our family.

We feel incredibly lucky that our little Craig shares the name of such a brilliant doctor who helped bring him safely into the world. Thank you for everything — you made our experience so positive and memorable ❤️”

Mathew for Full Term February 🧸🩵

This is Mathew he was born full term and rushed away from me due to breathing difficulties. He was in neonatal for over a week the staff were amazing he was such a poorly wee boy. At one point I was told the next 48 hours were critical. They called him a miracle baby because he went from been so poorly to so alive. I couldn’t thank you all in the ward enough now he’s 6 years old thriving into a boisterous boy 💙 he was born on the 4th of October 2019 weight 8lb3 ### “

We’re grateful to share messages like this from our NICU families. Neonatal units support babies of all gestations, and Mathew’s story is a beautiful reminder of the resilience of our little patients and the strength of their families. 💙

Some futures are predicted from the very start🔮✨

“Hi. I would like to share and say thank you.16th oct 2008, My eldest son who is turning 18 in October was in neonatal for 12 days. He was born at 32 weeks + 2 days. Due to my placenta rupturing while at home. He was born in 3 minutes and 28 seconds. He was on Cpap, monitors, and in a warm hooded cot. We got him home day 13 after doing the car seat challenge. I was allowed home on day 9. He was given a beautiful wee blanket with trucks on the front of it and knitted hat.
His chosen career is an apprenticeship as a HGV Technician. If it hadn't been for the amazing team we both had, both of us may not have been hear today. So thank you. “

Good Luck to Zac in his future career as a HGV technician, your aunties and uncles at Wishaw are still rooting for you 🚚♥️

DYLAN 🩵

“Hi I’ve been reading your stories abt all the miracle babies in neonatal and wld like to share my little boys journey. So Dylan was born 15/6/2017, 33 weeks and 3days at 4lb 15oz, he was born exactly on midnight and midwives weren’t sure if he was the 14th or 15th 😂. I got to hold him for a few seconds enough time for a picture before he was taken to the neonatal ward. Already a mum to two older children this scared me so much, but the staff where amazing and left me come see him at any time even through the night when I couldn’t sleep. I was told he cld be in hospital until his due date, but he did amazing and due to his amazing care left the hospital just 10days later. He is now a happy, healthy nearly 9year old. Thank you ❤️”

Thank you to Dylan’s mum for sharing their story! We love getting updates from all of our families ✨✨

18/02/25 💙 our miracle,

“This was the second time dylan was in this world. As he was removed from my stomach and held by a doctor in his sack in 2024 at 12 weeks gestation, due to me having pioneering surgery...

Dylan was delivered at 36+6days and spent 13 days in neo-natal in Wishaw. The staff were amazing with our boy he was on a feeding tube and oxygen the nurses brought so much peace and comfort to both me and dad everytime we had to leave knowing our boy was in safe hands.

I cant believe our boy is 1 this year, the best year of our lives so far!!!!!
Thank you wishaw neo-natal & scubo staff!!!You made our dreams come true ❤️💙❤️💙❤️”

What an incredible story, thank you to Dylan’s mummy for sharing their story with us ! All of your aunties and uncles are pleased to see you doing so well 🧸🩵

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY MARLIE 🎉🎈

“Marlie was born on 16/02/2025 at 30 weeks weighing only 2lbs14oz. She spent 5 weeks between NICU and SCBU. Today she turned 1 🩷 she is small but mighty and is the happiest and cheekiest little princess I am so lucky to call my daughter.

We would not have made it without the love and support from her aunties and uncles at wishaw. You are all truly amazing people who I will cherish forever. “

All of your aunties and uncles wish you the very best 1st Birthday Marlie and we hope you’ve had a wonderful day, it’s great to see you doing so well 🤍🌸

JOSEPH 🩵🧸

“Joseph was born on 17th November 2025 at 39+2 weeks. He was born via emergency c section and stayed in hospital for 18 days whilst his lungs got strong enough to come off the oxygen.
The neonatal team were incredible with Joseph, aswell as his mummy and daddy who were waiting for the day to bring him home.

Joseph is doing amazing and has found his voice. He particularly enjoys babbling in the middle of the night.

Thank you so much to you all for your help and support”

Thank you so much to Joseph’s Mummy for sharing this update, we are so pleased to see him doing so well 🥺🧸
