Dry Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a traditional healing practice that involves placing cups on the skin to create a vacuum/suction.
This modality is used in conjunction with massage therapy. Its job is to draw blood to a region in order to stimulate healing, work on stretching tight fascia and muscle tissue as well as help the tissue develop new blood flow and stimulate the healing process!
Types of Cupping:
Static;
This cupping therapy involved placing cups onto the skin to create a vacuum, this increase blood flow and relieves muscle tension. The cups are left on the skin for several minutes in order to treat pain, stiffness and promote healing.
Dynamic;
Dynamic cupping therapy uses cups that are moved along the skin while maintaining suction. This technique promotes healing through the use of movement over the body. It is often used pain, flexibility and improving range of motion.
