Today we collected Noodle from the crematorium and she’s now home again. It is starting to feel better although I still can’t talk about her without crying.

As a grief and bereavement counselor I would have thought I’d manage losing my dog easier but grief is a big emotion and it’s floored me.
We’re all devastated and the collective sadness in our home is palpable.
Even though I knew the day was not far off I didn’t know it was going to be that day.
A shock and painful moment to accept.
We are remembering all the good times and deciding how to celebrate her and we will heal.
Grief will fade although the sadness remains. It’s just more manageable and something we can live with. But for now I accept that tears will flow and I will choke up and need to hide away. It’s ok to be sad. It’s ok to grieve. We must just remember not to stay in the sadness too long. X

It's time for another Walk and Talk Witham!
The second Autumn of W&TW!
It's been a wonderful year of meeting new people and getting to share stories and make connections.

Life is always better out in nature and an informal, relaxed walk is good for the soul!

Meet on the driveway at 63 Collingwood Road, Witham, CM8 2EE as usual at 10am. Saturday 13th September.

Route depends on the mood we are in when we get going! Usually 2-3 miles and never strenuous!

Open to all adults - free, of course!

Not all in bloom currently but it’s about seeing the beauty in all the stages. Like flowers, we are not always at our best but we are always perfect just as we are, going through the stages of life, growing and learning.
