Post-massage exercises

After a sports massage, especially a deep-tissue session, your muscles will feel pliable and loose. To maximize the benefits and avoid injury, rest for 24–48 hours and focus on gentle, light exercises.

Walking: A light walk helps promote blood circulation without stressing the muscles.

Swimming: Gentle swimming can be a great way to stay active with minimal impact on your joints.

Gentle yoga or stretching: Light stretching can help maintain the flexibility gained during the massage. Static stretches, where you hold a position for 20–30 seconds, are most effective post-exercise.

Foam rolling: Used as a form of self-myofascial release, foam rolling can help alleviate muscle tightness and improve blood flow, supporting the massage's effects.
