Going the Extra Mile Award - Lemara & Cindy 🤍

We were delighted to have presented our Going the Extra Mile Awards to Cindy Burns & Lemara Ross who support our Boydin Close residents. In the year since Nicky & Jodie came into our Supported Living services, both Lemara and Cindy have truly exceeded all and any expectations, helping to facilitate so much development in their lives. From the small wins, like trying new foods and going upstairs to bed, right through to using public transport and going on holiday - they’ve brought both residents out of their shells and proved to them that they're capable of so much more than they realise.

Their commitment to this very level of care and compassion every single day is a reflection of their own characters, and their dedication to improving the lives of others is a testament to them both - truly embodying everything that we as Calm Futures stand for.

Congratulations to you both. ✨

Some lovely photos from Sophie's girly day out at Lakeside - which wouldn't have been complete with lots of clothes shopping and plenty of laughs.

Her face absolutely lit up in Build-A-Bear, where she chose a gorgeous dog teddy that reminded her of her own dog, Roxy 🐶💖. She even added a heartbeat for her Daddy, gave her a birth certificate, stuffed her herself, and picked the perfect outfit ready for walks 🐶🐾

Not only that, but she enjoyed a train ride 🚆, a lovely dinner out 🍽️, and (of course) a very successful Primark trip 🛍️

Such a special day full of smiles and memories with Sabrina, Sophie and Keedie 💗
