🎓 Training Success at Boars Tye House! 🎓

We believe in investing in our team to deliver the highest quality care to our residents. One key part of this is our 12-week Care Certificate induction by Skills for Care covering 16 standards with competency observations by our Registered Manager.

Today, we’re celebrating Ade, who has successfully completed his Care Certificate! 👏 Betty, one of our lovely residents, had the honor of presenting Ade with his certificate for this fantastic achievement.

Celebrating Burns Night at Boars Tye House

Our residents have been getting creative this week, painting and decorating their own flags in preparation for Burns Night on the 25th of January. The activity has sparked lovely conversations, memories, and plenty of laughter around the home.

At Boars Tye House, we’re proud to support and celebrate the many cultures and traditions that are important to our residents. Burns Night is just one of the special occasions we enjoy marking together, and it’s wonderful to see everyone joining in.

As Robert Burns himself said: “O wad some Pow’r the giftie gie us, to see oursels as others see us.” A lovely reminder of reflection, kindness, and understanding.

As part of our I Have a Dream Initiative, Shirley — who recently celebrated her birthday — has made a very special wish.

Shirley is a huge admirer of Virginia McKenna and has supported the for many years. She would love to write a letter to Virginia to tell her how much she adores animals, and she hopes Virginia might send her a couple of photos — especially of tigers, her absolute favourites. 🐅💛
