Window to the Womb – Mission Statement Window to the Womb is committed to providing high quality, efficient and compassionate care to all of our clients and their families through the safe and efficient use of ultrasound imaging technology. Our Vision • To provide clients with easily accessible, high quality 2D, 3D, 4D and in selected clinic's HD images using ultrasound technology in a caring and professional manner • To enhance our customers experience by providing a homely, welcoming, safe and comfortable environment • To promote excellence in 2D, 3D and 4D imaging services by ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compassion combined with professional integrity Our Values We are committed to: • Focus: Our primary focus is on client care and comfort; we are dedicated to delivering this care in a professional and ethical manner • Dignity: All of our customers will be treated with respect and dignity • Integrity: All of our clients will be treated honestly and fairly and in a manner that ensures their safety • Privacy: All of our customers will be treated in a confidential manner at all times • Diversity: We recognise, respect and actively support differences amongst individuals and demonstrate this philosophy through our work practices and protocols • Safety: We will ensure that we meet our obligations in respect of Health and Safety issues within our establishment • Staff: All our sonographers meet our high standards in specializing in early, well-being, gender & 4D pregnancy scans. Ultrasound Scanning Ultrasound is very high frequency sound waves, well above the perception of the human ear so your baby will not be aware of the scan in any way. 3D and 4D ultrasound uses exactly the same technology as hospital 2D ultrasound scanning. 2D ultrasound gives imaging in 2 dimensions and is used in diagnostic examinations. We are privileged to be able to offer you and your family an amazing and realistic first look at your baby with a unique Window to the Womb 3D/4D Ultrasound Baby Scan. Whilst just as safe as the traditional 2D scan that you will have at your hospital, a 3D/4D/HD ultrasound scan can help you get up close and personal with your unborn baby in a way that you never thought possible thanks to the combination of our years of experience, our trained team and our amazing equipment. From a yawn to a stretch, your 2D/3D/4D/HD ultrasound session can give you a realistic first introduction to your baby in their protected world! 3D ultrasound gives images in 3-dimensions, in other words still pictures 4D ultrasound gives imaging in the fourth dimension, giving us real-time movement of your baby in the womb. 4D ULTRASOUND FACT SHEET 4D technology uses sound waves that are out of the range of human hearing so your baby will not be aware of the scan taking place. For good clear imaging we need a pool of amniotic fluid around babies face. To get the very best 4D images it’s important that your baby is in a face upward position However the images of your baby’s face will be affected by anything that blocks or reduces the sound waves or causes a shadow, the umbilical cord, baby’s hands and feet. Babies position also plays a large part in the clarity of the images. If baby is cuddled in to the wall of the womb or placenta your imaging will be hazy. We can try to encourage movement by asking you to roll onto your side, sometimes taking a walk around is also needed. Our policy is to try our best for you on the day, unfortunately this means we may over run on our scan times. Please be patient every client is very important to us. Our clinic offers pregnancy scans at all gestastions from 6 - 40 weeks of pregnancy and all our sonographers are fully trained in clinical & diagnostic ultrasound. All our scans are started with a well-being check of baby and if they feel their could be a problem with baby we will explain as fully as we are able and speak to your midwife with your permission. HD ultrasound – The latest technology available in selected clinics. Our Scanning Machines Our ultrasound scanner is basically a very powerful computer. It’s processor interprets the reflected high frequency sound waves into 3D pictures and adds the fourth-dimension to give us real time moving images. HD is High Definition. Safety We take the safety of you and your baby very seriously and have adopted the A.L.A.R.A (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) protocol when scanning. In simple terms this means that we have our scanners set at the lowest levels that will allow us to get great images for you. We also follow BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society) guidelines for non-diagnostic, bonding scans, which means we have lowered the output levels on our machines and do not scan before 16 weeks.

We've compiled this short list of lockdown date ideas for self-care, or spending time with your loved ones.
1. Have a pamper evening. This idea works whether you're single or with a partner. Why not have a nice, relaxing bath and treat yourself to some skincare. You could even order in some takeaway for the ultimate stress-free evening.
2. Have a movie night. If you're living with a partner or by yourself, you know the drill - grab some snacks, get cosy (maybe even build a fort for a different setting) and watch a film together. If you're apart, you can still enjoy a movie night with friends or your partner. There are extensions that help you stay in sync whilst watching a film, or you could even set an exact time to watch so that you can enjoy the film together. You can even order in some food or something like a pick and mix box to make the occasion extra special.
3. Have a dinner date. Whether you're single, together or apart, you can still enjoy a dinner date. Why not log into zoom, order in some food and sit and eat together. You may not be face-to-face, but the activity of eating at the same time will make you feel that much closer together.

🏥⚠ Important Information Regarding Our Scan Services ⚠🏥
The primary purpose of any of the scans offered by WTTW has always been and remains the health and wellbeing of the mother and baby.
Some of our scans additionally include ancillary services such as gendering and 4D.
As long as any appointment is booked primarily for a medical reason, we will continue to include the other services throughout the lockdown period.
We ask all of our customers to confirm when they book, that they are booking primarily for a medical reason such as reassurance or because of a specific concern. You do not need to contact us to confirm this if you have already booked an appointment; we know that our clients book a scan primarily to check on the development of their baby.
Rescans & the option to go for a short walk to get baby moving for ancillary services such as gender confirmation or 4D imaging cannot be offered at this time.
We continue to work to all national guidelines and this may be subject to change at short notice.
Please note that anyone who attends any of our clinics is required to wear a face mask or face covering.
This is to protect our customers, who because they are pregnant are classed as vulnerable, other visitors and our hard working clinic staff.
