Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Commercial Analyst to join our team full-time in our Essex office. This role is ideal for a recent university graduate or entry-level candidate with strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills who is eager to launch a commercial career in the travel and hospitality industry.
In this role, you will analyse performance data, track trends, and support strategic decisions that drive growth for our hotel clients. You'll also work closely with major UK tour operators, analysing client reports, identifying high-growth markets, and comparing performance against industry trends. This role requires both data fluency and the ability to present insights effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Performance Reporting:
1. Develop and maintain regular sales and performance reports for partner hotels, including revenue, bookings, ADR, RevPAR, and occupancy.
Trend & Market Analysis:
1. Identify emerging market and booking trends and predict performance shifts using data from clients and industry benchmarks.
2. Monitor run rates and proactively highlight anomalies or growth opportunities.
Client Liaison & Stakeholder Support:
1. Maintain strong relationships with our hotel clients and major UK tour operators.
2. Prepare and deliver data-led presentations for clients and internal stakeholders to communicate performance insights, opportunities, and risks.
Commercial & Competitor Benchmarking:
1. Compare client performance with market and competitor benchmarks to highlight relative strengths and weaknesses.
Forecasting & Strategy Support:
1. Assist in planning and forecasting activities through data modelling and scenario analysis to inform pricing and sales strategies.
Data Integrity & Systems:
1. Maintain data accuracy across reporting platforms and assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow automation and efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals).
2. Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
3. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to identify and interpret commercial trends, spot performance gaps, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
5. Confident and professional client-facing communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to clients and internal teams.
6. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Knowledge of hotel metrics (ADR, RevPAR, Occupancy) or experience in the travel/tourism/hospitality sector is a bonus.
