Right now, at least 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder. That’s more than 1 in 50 people.

It’s important to remember that eating disorders are not all about food itself, but about feelings. The way the person interacts with food may make them feel more able to cope or may make them feel in control.

It can be very difficult to identify that a loved one or friend has an eating disorder.

Together, we can help raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those in need of help. It’s okay to ask for help.

📢 Raising a Rapid Health request for someone else online? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

If you are submitting a Rapid Health form online on behalf of a family member (for example your husband, child, or someone you care for), please use our surgery website link rather than the NHS App.

The NHS App automatically submits the request in your own name, so it may go through under the wrong person.

✅ To raise a request for someone else, please visit:

💻 This applies to online submissions only.
If you’re unsure or would prefer support, you’re very welcome to pop into the surgery and our Reception Team will assist you as normal.

Thank you for your help! 💙

🧠 BRAIN WELLNESS ON TOUR 🧠

We’re heading out to remote village halls to make memory support more accessible 💛

We’ll be offering advice and guidance around memory tests, along with friendly support from Alzheimer’s services.

This tour is all about reaching people who may find it difficult to get to the surgery, or who simply want a chat or reassurance about any memory concerns.

Whether it’s for you, a loved one, or just peace of mind – everyone is welcome.

Come and see us while we’re in your village, no pressure, just support 🤍

Children’s Mental Health Week 💛 – Self-Kindness Matters

Being kind to ourselves is an important skill for children to learn and practice. Small everyday actions — like getting enough sleep, staying active, enjoying hobbies, asking for help, and believing in themselves — can make a big difference to emotional wellbeing.
Encouraging self-kindness helps children build confidence, resilience and healthy habits that support their mental health now and in the future.

Let’s take time this week to talk, listen and remind children that it’s okay not to feel okay — and that support is always available.
