We recently had the honour of conducting the funeral service for a very much-loved lady, Olive, at Manchester Crematorium.
Olive was adored by everyone who met her, a true lady in every sense of the word. Honest, respectful, immaculate, and incredibly hard-working, she cared deeply for those around her and always gave her very best in everything she did.
With a lifelong appreciation for the environment and nature, Olive’s daughter chose a beautifully fitting and thoughtful option for her final journey, our bespoke cardboard resting bed. A meaningful choice that reflected Olive’s values perfectly.
With teaching being such an important part of Olive’s life and family, we felt it was only right to share a little more about this environmentally conscious option.
Our cardboard resting beds are proudly manufactured in the UK using corrugated cardboard made from unbleached pulp, containing a minimum of 80% recycled paper and sustainably sourced wood pulp. They are 100% biodegradable and produce up to 90% lower carbon emissions than a standard chipboard coffin. Designed with strength in mind, their multi layered structure can support over 23 stone (146kg), and they are finished using natural corn starch based glues and cotton rope handles.
A truly fitting and personal farewell for a remarkable lady.
Olive, may you rest in peace 🤍
