If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your baby (ideally aged 2-4 months) in the new year, then why not try baby massage? This popular activity is a great way to meet other mums with similar aged babies, and can help with colic, digestive issues, bonding, sleep, circulation, and more. The Birth Baby Balance six week course, on Thursdays from 11.30-1.00 or 1:30-3:00pm, is facilitated by an International Association of Infant Massage instructor with over fifteen years’ experience of teaching the classes. The sessions are relaxed, informative and fun. It doesn’t matter at all if your baby cries or needs feeding or chooses to sleep through the sessions - you’ll still have a chance to learn strokes to calm and soothe your baby, and share a cuppa and a chat with the other mums. A Buddhist monk named Phra Ajarn Maha Dam Phommasan faced a life-changing moment. While on a 2,300-mile Walk for Peace from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C., he was hit by a pickup truck near Dayton, Texas on November 19, 2025. The accident left him badly injured, and he lost his leg.

Maha Dam serves as a senior monk at Wat Lao Buddha Khanti of Atlanta, and he is back home in Snellville, Georgia. He was welcomed home with a ceremony. At Piedmont Healthcare and OrthoAtlanta, spine surgeon Dr. Tuan L. Bui helped care for him. The doctor's team shared how inspired they were by Maha Dam's strength and his commitment to peace.

Even after losing a leg, he said he was not angry and expressed forgiveness and compassion toward the person who hit him. Shortly after the accident, his home temple released a statement saying, "Please continue to pray for Ajarn." And a few weeks later, the temple created a GoFundMe page on his behalf. Many people have rallied behind Maha Dam in support and have raised over $93,000 to help with his medical bills and other expenses.

Each stem, each color, each thoughtful arrangement speaks of a transformation we cannot always see but can deeply feel—the inner flowering that happens when mindfulness takes root, when compassion begins to unfold, when unity becomes more than just a word.

We do not walk alone. We walk together with every person whose heart has opened to peace, whose spirit has chosen kindness, whose daily life has become a garden where understanding grows.
