Example of how Bowen can relieve pain and discomfort.

This lovely girl was one of my case studies. She had sever laminitis and an old pelvis injury. Upon her initial assessment it was clear she was uncomfortable. Her head was lowered, ears back and tail clamped. She was holding tension in almost every part of her body which was especially bad around her shoulders and hind quarters.

After three treatments she made some noticeable improvements. Her body was softer and tension reduced by around 50%. She was more alert with eyes and ears forward and her head and neck were more elevated. It was also later reported by her farrier that she was much easier to handle and seemed more comfortable.

In this case Bowen would have helped by increasing blood circulation to the hoof and limbs, released tension built up through the limbs and shoulders and helped to bring her pelvis into better alignment as much as possible.

Hello and welcome!

So I'd like to introduce myself and tell you a little about what I do.
I am a qualified Equine and Human Bowen Therapist and Reiki Practitioner, treating both horses and humans. My journey in holistic healing began in 2012 when I set up my first business for human therapies. I've always loved helping people and being part of their healing journey but my life long love for horses (and all animals) lead me to Equine Bowen and Reiki.

Both these treatments can help in many ways. Reiki has been shown to reduce stress and promote relaxation and Bowen is an effective soft tissue release treatment which can help improve many chronic and acute conditions.

Working with horses that are in pain or suffering emotional trauma can be very challenging and I understand how easy it can be for horses to become sensitive and nervous in their surroundings. I have adopted a very gentle and patient approach to my work as I understand how important these beautiful animals are to their owners so I aim to ensure both horses and owners are comfortable and happy.

I cover areas of the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire up to a 30 mile radius of OX28. On occasions I can travel further for multiple treatments.
