In 2010 Barry Ingleton left full-time mainstream employment to start something new. After a meeting with The Prime Minister, David Cameron, Barry felt confident enough to pursue his dream, ideas, and educational beliefs. This pathway would start at a time of economic downturn but Barry could see the pressures that young people and the unemployed would be put under through this hard time. He saw the need for a new type of alternative training, economically timing seemed crazy but Synolos was born. Barry Ingleton - Director/Founder

Our Purpose
We believe that everyone has the potential to do well in life but not everyone is given the same opportunities to fulfill their potential. Our purpose is to help individuals identify their potential and then by using our range of opportunities to help them realize that potential in their move into training, work experience, voluntary work, or employment.

Thank you so much for our first set of contributions to our wellbeing centre project. Getting the first ones are always the hardest and it's heartening that we have connected so soon to our project.

We want to create physical activity opportunities for those who find mainstream options difficult to access, such as sports centers, gyms and other group activities.

Synolos feels very privileged to provide a fresh outlook for individuals in the West Oxfordshire area. We offer practical support and encouragement to help empower lives where that help is needed. Our remit is all-encompassing; we help to identify each individual’s potential and guide them on their journey to becoming independent, self-sufficient and successful. We specialise in small groups, allowing those who have struggled in mainstream education or services the opportunity to thrive, gain a sense of belonging and work toward empowerment for the future

Founded in 2010 by Barry Ingleton, Synolos is an award winning Social Enterprise (CIC) organisation based in West Oxfordshire that helps individuals identify and fulfil their potential.

Our Purpose At Synolos we believe that every person has the potential to live a successful life. Unfortunately, we are not all given the same opportunities to identify and fulfil that potential. Our purpose is to work with individuals to not only identify their strengths, but to help carry them through into a practical setting. To fulfil this purpose, we have various approaches at our disposal that we can offer, depending on the needs of the individual. Our goal for all those we work with is to help guide them into employment, self-employment, voluntary work or further training. Our aim is a simple one, but of paramount importance.
