You might remember that beautiful wedding shoot I was part of with last year. I created this unique origami box which contained the couple’s wedding vows. Well Jess just sent me the final pics and WOW am I impressed 🤩

I’m so proud of the piece, it was a marriage of fabric and ink, which are two of my loves! I used a special paper silk fabric to create the box and added a tie dyed inky effect and lastly, delicately brush lettered words onto the fabric.

I just want to say huge thank you again to Jess for this opportunity and for making it all look so fantastic!!

🍑 I’m feeling the warmth of summer with these orange and pink tones. I have a thing with adding nice details to the back of an envelope and so I’m just trying out this new style. I hope you like 😉? I have to say I was also really inspired by this gorgeous candle I got for Christmas 💝It’s so glam looking and that zingy spicy-ness of ginger, almond and orange blossom is divine 💕🤤.

I know I’m a day early with the word “growth” but these two words just work so well side by side. I’m super proud of myself for sticking with this challenge. Hope you’re enjoying seeing what I create? I also keep trying to find different tools to use each day. Ok so I’m playing catch-up. Missed the last 2 days of lettering with . Not very consistent of me 😂! So today is all about being
I N T E N T I O N A L!! This is a nice way to practice that very thing, with my glass pen, because I’m actually forced to go slower with this tool. Basically the ink doesn’t flow nicely if I write to quickly. Going this slow is quite therapeutic actually and provides a different kind of flow compared to my usual swishy fast flowing style.

Day 2 and I’m totally committed! ✨

Inks: a mixture of both hot pink and pastel red. Brush stable round. I can remember the size as the chipped off but I recommend any round tipped brush for this kind of lettering. DM me if you’re not sure what to get!

If you want to be a master of anything, then consistency is the key! Honing what you love and what you want to be good at takes dedication and time. Some might reach their destination to mastery a little quicker, some it might take a little longer. No one is better!

If you’re stuck for ideas, how about getting on board with this great little challenge from . I personally haven’t been feeling my most creative recently and this project has come at what I believe to be a perfect time. Now let’s see if I can be consistent and get to the end of the challenge 😆!!

Oh wow!! These are my top 9 most loved posts for 2020 y’all!! Despite this being one hell of a crazy year, some truly exciting things have come out of 2020! I am so grateful for the opportunities that have presented themselves and the amazing people I have met along the way too. World Calligraphy Day blew my mind this year. I have to shout out to my entire calligraphy community, because we rallied together like I have never seen before. The love and support for each other was just immense. I have to thank you all for keeping me going! ❤️

The opportunity to teach for has been one of my highlights this year. I love teaching with them and being able to share what I have learnt with other people, is the best part of my job!

I still have some very cool collaborations to announce soon!! I’m going into 2021 feeling blessed and honoured to share this space with so many amazing creatives!

and thank you too for your friendship, reaching out to me from your corners of the planet and bringing an insane amount of excitement to end my year!
