When injuries sustained in the Armed Forces and recent illness impacted Richard Packer's ability to walk, the Genny powerchair from Recare gave him freedom to explore rural Scotland once again.

In our new Spotlight video, we focus on the Decon E-Move and E-Drive wheelchair power assists available from Recare.

Ashleigh Hall, Recare Rehabilitation Consultant, discusses how the E-Drive and E-Move power add-ons enable users to save energy and overcome longer distances or terrains that might normally be avoided.

➡️ The E-Move is a hub-mounted drive unit providing powered assistance for manual wheelchair users. One propulsion will take users up to 20 metres. There are a variety of customisable settings to fine-tune for specific needs.

➡️ The E-Drive power assist has a joystick set-up - either mounted on the wheelchair arm and controlled by the user, or mounted at the back and controlled by an attendant. Switch seamlessly between manual propulsion and power-assisted control as required.
