Today we were treated to a lovely surprise from our local café GAIL’s Bakery who kindly popped in with some delicious sweet treats for our hardworking team 🍰✨

A huge thank you for your generosity, it certainly kept everyone fuelled, smiling and full of energy throughout the day! It’s so thoughtful gestures like this that mean so much to our staff.

🎉 A Very Happy Birthday to Janet! 🎉

Today we celebrated our lovely Janet in style down in the café with a delicious slice of cake and a lovely glass of red wine shared with friends 🥰🍷🎂

There were smiles all round (and plenty of singing!) although when it came to taking the photo, Janet decided to say “sausages!” instead of cheese… which definitely gave us the best giggle and an even better picture! 😂

It was such a joy to celebrate you, Janet. Here’s to another year filled with laughter, happiness and maybe a few more sausages! ❤️

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from all of us! 🌸

Today we celebrated our wonderful mothers and mother figures with a special Tea at Three, hosted by our Home Manager Rachel, who was joined by her son to lend a helping hand. Our Lifestyle Lead Molly was also delighted to have her mum join her to share the afternoon with both herself and our lovely residents - making it even more meaningful. 💐

A huge thank you to our fabulous kitchen team, especially Sous Chef Rob, for preparing a delicious selection of shortbread, croissants, scones and Victoria sponge, the perfect treats for such a special occasion. ☕🍰

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with warmth, smiles and celebration. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums and mother figures in our community. 💕

💜💎 Gem of the Month 💎💜

We were proud to present our latest Gem of the Month award during a recent visit from our Dementia Specialist, Linda Dawes, who was with us delivering specialist training to the team.

This month’s award goes to Julie, in recognition of her consistently high standards of care and her dedication to enhancing residents’ daily experiences.

As our Dining Room Champion, Julie has played a key role in improving the mealtime experience for residents, supporting colleagues to maintain excellent standards, mentoring new team members and ensuring dining remains a positive, person-centred experience for everyone.

Thank you, Julie, for your commitment, compassion and teamwork. You truly make a difference every day.

💅✨ Our New Nail Salon Is Open! ✨💅

We’re delighted to share that our brand new nail salon here at the care home is now up and running! Our lovely ladies enjoyed being pampered with beautiful nails, plenty of smiles, and a relaxing salon experience right at home.

It was wonderful to see everyone feeling special and enjoying a little bit of well-deserved self-care. We can’t wait for many more pamper sessions! 💖

A lovely morning walk to our local Tesco today! ☀️🚶‍♀️

A few of our residents mentioned they were fancying some crumpets, so we took a little trip to stock up. There’s nothing better than a stroll in the fresh air and picking up some tasty treats along the way! 🛒

Jean also treated herself to a beautiful new plant for her room 🌿 — a perfect little addition to brighten her space.

Simple outings like these bring lots of smiles and a chance to enjoy the community around us. 💛

☀️ Making the most of the sunshine! 🌸

With the lovely weather this week, some of our residents enjoyed a little walk down to Tesco to pick up a few goodies. 🛍️

Fresh air, a bit of exercise, and great company made it a wonderful outing. We even treated ourselves to some beautiful flowers to brighten up the home! 🌷

It’s the simple moments like these that bring so much joy! Getting out in the sunshine and enjoying time together. 💛

🎉 What a milestone! 🎂

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating John’s incredible 102nd birthday here at the care home! 🥳

It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of birthday cake. John was surrounded by friends, staff, and well-wishers who helped make his special day one to remember. 💙

Reaching 102 years is an amazing achievement, and we feel so lucky to share in such special moments with the people who make our home such a warm and joyful place 🎈🎁
