Finally I have some positive news to share.
Most importantly I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for all the well wishes, messages and emails of support.
After several long and frustrating months I have now reached a settlement with the insurance company dealing with the claim.
The work to repair the damage to the building is due to commence next week.
My aim is to reopen for early - mid December all being well and on schedule.
For the time being I have opened my diary and online booking system from Monday 15th December. Should the work complete earlier I will let you know.

Reopening Soon

Temporary Closure Update

I wanted to give you a quick update on the damage to my building.

Unfortunately the insurance company has decided the damage is so severe that they will most likely knock the building down and rebuild. I am still waiting on a full report but this is clearly going to affect my ability to work for quite sometime.

I have been informed that this process could take up to six months.

The last thing I want to do is take bookings and then have to cancel you again and let you down. I think the best option is to say I will be definitely closed until November. I hope this will give you the time to reschedule your appointments elsewhere.

Of course all deposits will be refunded.

Im devastated but it’s out of my hands. My aim is to get back as quickly as I possibly can and I’m looking at different options in the meantime.

I will keep you updated when I have better understanding of timelines etc.

Unfortunately Lady Luck is not on my side this year.

Yesterday a vehicle accidentally drove into my building causing a lot of damage.
These things happen and thankfully no one was hurt which is the main thing.

Due to the building being unsafe I will have to close my doors while I wait for the insurance company to come and assess etc.
I don’t know how long this will take but will try my hardest to be back as quickly as possible.

Apologies to those of you that have bookings over the next few weeks as I will have to cancel. I will arrange refunds of deposits over the next few days and contact you directly.

Such a shame as I was enjoying being back and seeing you all after having time off with my injured hand!

Hi All

Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you for all the lovely well wishes, cards and generous gifts. I really have been so touched!!

I have had my operation and all went well, and after a horrible two weeks in a cast (in the heat!) I now have a splint which I can remove… so much nicer!!

I am on an intensive physio program of exercises to regain the full use of my thumb to enable me to hold, lift and grip. Luckily this is my left hand and day by day I’m feeling stronger.

I have decided to come back from the week commencing 21st July. I will start off slowly and ease myself back in, seeing those of you that had previously booked appointments.

I will be fine with most treatments but I have been instructed by my physio to limit the amount of massage treatments I do for the first month.

I will send out confirmation emails to those of you booked for that first week as these were made several weeks ago.

Temporary Closure

Hi All

Unfortunately I’ve hurt my hand and after several visits to the JR I’ve not had good news today.

I have torn and ruptured a ligament and need to return for an operation. I will then need to wear a cast for 6 weeks.
Unfortunately I need both my hands to work.

This is going to leave me out of action for a minimum of 6 weeks sadly.

I anticipate I will be closed until mid - late July. I will however be guided from my medical consultant.

I feel absolutely terrible but I will need to cancel your appointment if booked within this time period.
Many of you were so organised this summer booking in advance for special events and occasions. That makes this email so much harder to write as I really do dislike letting people down.

I am slowly working though my diary and will cancel appointments and issue refunds of deposits where required. Please allow a few days for refunds to be visible in your accounts.

I will keep you updated on my recovery and return to work dates.
