FUNCTIONAL INDIBA
When I use Indiba during treadmill sessions, we’re working functionally — using the horse’s natural movement to guide the treatment in a dynamic and intelligent way.
Think of your horse’s body like a suspension bridge: if one part weakens, the whole structure feels the strain. During treatment, we apply the Indiba current across different diagonal pairings in the body — this can be front to back or side to side — depending on the horse’s conformation, injury history, and discipline. These pairings mimic the forces at work during walk, trot, or canter.
As the horse moves, we essentially “wobble” that suspension bridge — not randomly, but in a targeted, controlled way. The current naturally flows toward the areas of resistance or dysfunction — the spots that may not respond fully to manual therapy alone.
At those points, the current activates a cellular response: the tissue begins releasing proteins that trigger healing and regeneration. The exact proteins released depend on what that particular muscle chain or structure needs — guided by the horse’s unique biomechanics and injury profile.
This allows us to rehab the horse in a very specific, targeted way — supporting balanced movement, reducing strain on compensation areas, and helping the horse return to work stronger, not just rested.
