Alan Van Loen who runs Aware Consultancy has been in practice as a qualified hypnotherapist for over 30 years, is an Accredited Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and registered by the CNHC (the UK regulator for complementary healthcare) as having met the national standards for hypnotherapy; he is on the NCH register of supervisors, qualified to give professional supervision to other therapists. Alan is also a trainer, mainly in health education and health improvement. He has been a trainer in the NHS where he trained health professionals on courses such as ‘Helping People Change’ and ran courses in sexual health and also stress management. His stress management sessions appear in the ‘Health for Life’ and ‘Real Health for Real Lives’ series of books, used in schools. The methods used in this therapy practice enable you to access your own inner resources for positive and healthy change in a relaxing, gentle way, tailored to your individual needs and experiences.

HYPNOTHERAPY FAQs NO.1
I thought it was about time I answered some of the questions I am so often asked about hypnotherapy - and where better to do that in an 'accessible' place than here on Facebook? It will also stop me neglecting my page!
So here is the first of a series of posts which are my FAQs.I'll give some examples of issues I have dealt with as a therapist over the 30 years I've been in practice. Obviously these will NOT identify any individual clients in any way - like all therapists and health professionals, I maintain confidentiality. I adhere to the codes of conduct of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the CNHC (the UK regulator for complementary healthcare).
So here's the first FAQ:
WHAT DOES HYPNOTHERAPY DO?
