🏅 Half Marathon PB for our Chef and Nutrition Champion Eduard! 🏃‍♂️

We are so proud of Eduard, who achieved an incredible personal best of 1 hour 31 minutes at the Surrey Half Marathon, representing Nellsar! 🎉

Balancing training alongside his role in our Home is no easy task, but Eduard’s determination and commitment truly shine. ✨ He says the support from our team keeps him motivated every step of the way — and we couldn’t be happier to cheer him on!

Congratulations, Eduard — a fantastic achievement! 🙌

Easter party at Princess Christian Care Home 🌸

We had a fantastic Easter party on Wednesday 15 April, bringing our residents and families together for a joyful afternoon full of community spirit. 💛

We were treated to wonderful live music from Kuran, while our special Easter visitors – our delightful chicken, carrot and Easter egg – added plenty of smiles!

Our guests enjoyed a delicious buffet prepared by our Head Chef Cosmin and his team, with everything from roast lamb and seasonal favourites to tasty finger foods and sweet treats. 🍽️ 🍰

Our Easter raffle was a great success too, raising £135 for our Residents’ Fund. 👏

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special! 😊

🧁 Cooking Club returns at Princess Christian Care Home 🍰

Our much-loved Cooking Club was back this week, led by our talented Chef Cosmin and Activities team — and everyone was excited to get involved! 😊

This time, we made mini Victoria sponge cakes, layering fluffy sponge with cream and strawberry jam, then finishing with a fresh strawberry on top. 🍓

They looked amazing and tasted just as good! A very sociable session, enjoyed by everyone. 💛

🐰 Surprise Easter visitors at Princess Christian Care Home 🐣

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Easter Day filled with fun and special surprises! ✨

The highlight was a visit from the Easter Bunny, a Cheerful Chicken and a Friendly Egg, who handed out delicious chocolate treats and brought lots of smiles. 🍫😊

With games, photos and time to socialise, it was a joyful day enjoyed by everyone — creating lovely memories together! 🎉

🐰 Easter fun at Princess Christian Care Home 🐣

We kicked off our Easter celebrations with games, creativity and a friendly competition across our Home! 😊

Our communities worked together to design and decorate their own Easter hats, using a variety of materials and sharing plenty of ideas along the way. 🎨 👒

A wonderful activity full of teamwork, creativity and a touch of friendly rivalry — and we loved the fantastic results! 👏

🍎 Nutrition and Hydration Week at Princess Christian Care Home 💧

We were delighted to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week in March, promoting healthy choices across our Home. Our residents, team members and visitors enjoyed a variety of nutritious snacks and refreshing drinks, helping everyone stay hydrated and well. 😊

Our popular fruit trolley in reception was a real highlight, offering fresh, tasty options for all to enjoy. 🍊🍓

🇯🇲 A taste of Jamaica at Princess Christian Care Home! 🌴

Our residents recently set sail on a Nellsar Cruise armchair adventure to Jamaica — and what a fantastic day it was! 🎶✨

With lively music, colourful decorations, tropical outfits and a themed mocktail trolley, our lounge was full of island vibes. Our residents also enjoyed delicious Jamaican-inspired fish and fried plantain, freshly prepared by our kitchen team. 🍹🍽️

A wonderful day of culture, music and shared stories — all from the comfort of our chairs! 😊

💛 Supporting Dignity Action Month at Princess Christian Care Home 💛

We proudly took part in Dignity Action Month by creating an information table in our reception and sharing homemade cakes to spark warm conversations about dignity in care. 🍰

Our residents, team and visitors also helped build our lovely Dignity Tree, adding paper leaves with personal reflections on what dignity means to them. 🌳 Comments included themes of respect, care, support and privacy — thoughtful reminders of what truly matters.

A meaningful and inspiring activity for everyone involved. ✨

🎶 Live music magic at Princess Christian Care Home 🎶

Last Friday, our Bisley Community welcomed the lovely Malindi, who filled our Home with her beautiful voice and well-loved songs. Our residents sang along, some had a little dance, and the room was full of warm community spirit. 😊

🥞 Pancake Day treats and a taste of China at Princess Christian Care Home! 🐉

We had a fantastic day on 17 February, starting with fluffy pancakes cooked by our wonderful Chef, Cosmin. Our residents loved choosing their favourite toppings — from chocolate spread to fruity jams and classic lemon and sugar.😄

In the afternoon, we celebrated Chinese New Year with a delicious spread of spring rolls, prawn toast, egg fried rice, chow mein and sweet treats. A real feast enjoyed by all. 🍜🥡

A perfect day of great food, good fun and full tummies! 🎉

⚓ Princess Christian Care Home sets sail for France on Nellsar Cruise! 🇫🇷

Our first Cruise destination was beautiful France, where our residents enjoyed a wonderful armchair travel experience filled with classic French music and a lovely atmosphere. 🎶

We sampled delicious French favourites including baked camembert, pain au chocolat and buttery croissants. 🧀🥐

To complete our trip, everyone took part in a fun French-themed photo shoot — and don't we all looked fabulous! 📸

What a fantastic start to our cruise adventure! 🛳️

🎉 Celebrating our amazing Activities Team at Princess Christian Care Home 🌟

To mark National Activity Providers and Professionals Week 2026, we held a special presentation to celebrate our wonderful Activities Team, with certificates, flowers and gifts as a small thank you for all they do. 💐

Our Home Manager, Nisha, shared her appreciation, saying:

“Our Activity Team members are truly at the heart of our Home. Through their creativity and commitment, they ensure that each person feels seen, heard and valued. They build relationships, foster a sense of belonging, and bring joy, purpose, and connection into our residents’ lives. Whether through music, reminiscence, art, movement, or quiet one-to-one moments, they consistently make a positive difference to the well-being and happiness of everyone in our care."

We are incredibly proud of our Activities Team and thankful for the dedication, enthusiasm and imagination they bring to Princess Christian Care Home every day. 💙✨
