💛 Supporting Dignity Action Month at Princess Christian Care Home 💛

We proudly took part in Dignity Action Month by creating an information table in our reception and sharing homemade cakes to spark warm conversations about dignity in care. 🍰

Our residents, team and visitors also helped build our lovely Dignity Tree, adding paper leaves with personal reflections on what dignity means to them. 🌳 Comments included themes of respect, care, support and privacy — thoughtful reminders of what truly matters.

A meaningful and inspiring activity for everyone involved. ✨

Last Friday, our Bisley Community welcomed the lovely Malindi, who filled our Home with her beautiful voice and well-loved songs. Our residents sang along, some had a little dance, and the room was full of warm community spirit. 😊

🥞 Pancake Day treats and a taste of China at Princess Christian Care Home! 🐉

We had a fantastic day on 17 February, starting with fluffy pancakes cooked by our wonderful Chef, Cosmin. Our residents loved choosing their favourite toppings — from chocolate spread to fruity jams and classic lemon and sugar.😄

In the afternoon, we celebrated Chinese New Year with a delicious spread of spring rolls, prawn toast, egg fried rice, chow mein and sweet treats. A real feast enjoyed by all. 🍜🥡

A perfect day of great food, good fun and full tummies! 🎉

⚓ Princess Christian Care Home sets sail for France on Nellsar Cruise! 🇫🇷

Our first Cruise destination was beautiful France, where our residents enjoyed a wonderful armchair travel experience filled with classic French music and a lovely atmosphere. 🎶

We sampled delicious French favourites including baked camembert, pain au chocolat and buttery croissants. 🧀🥐

To complete our trip, everyone took part in a fun French-themed photo shoot — and don't we all looked fabulous! 📸

🎉 Celebrating our amazing Activities Team at Princess Christian Care Home 🌟

To mark National Activity Providers and Professionals Week 2026, we held a special presentation to celebrate our wonderful Activities Team, with certificates, flowers and gifts as a small thank you for all they do. 💐

Our Home Manager, Nisha, shared her appreciation, saying:

“Our Activity Team members are truly at the heart of our Home. Through their creativity and commitment, they ensure that each person feels seen, heard and valued. They build relationships, foster a sense of belonging, and bring joy, purpose, and connection into our residents’ lives. Whether through music, reminiscence, art, movement, or quiet one-to-one moments, they consistently make a positive difference to the well-being and happiness of everyone in our care."

We are incredibly proud of our Activities Team and thankful for the dedication, enthusiasm and imagination they bring to Princess Christian Care Home every day. 💙✨

This week, our talented resident Nigel treated everyone to a special mini concert, sharing his lifelong love of music with fellow residents. 🎵💙

With a playlist spanning the decades, our lounge was filled with familiar classics, much-loved favourites and plenty of smiles and toe taps. ✨

🐦 Supporting wildlife through creativity at Princess Christian Care Home 🌿

Our residents at Princess Christian Care Home enjoyed getting creative for the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch by making bird feeders from recycled milk containers, bottles and cartons. ♻️🎨

Using everyday materials, they painted simple feeders and made apple, peanut butter and seed treats to help support local wildlife during the colder months. 🍎🌱

Everyone enjoyed taking the finished feeders outside and hanging them up in the garden, and we’re now looking forward to spotting how many different birds come to visit. 👀

🎄Christmas party fun at Princess Christian Care Home! 🎅

We hosted a fantastic Christmas party on Friday 19 December, filled with smiles and festive magic! 💖 Our Home looked wonderful with colourful balloon arches, gingerbread theme decorations and live music from Nikki which got everyone in the holiday spirit. 🎶

Our Christmas raffle raised an amazing £234 – thank you to everyone who donated and took part! 🙏🎁

Our Kitchen Team treated everyone to a delicious festive feast including turkey, risotto and irresistible desserts. 🍗 🍰

A huge thank you to our wonderful teams for making the day so special. ❤️✨

We had a very special visitor this week — Kevin the friendly Shetland pony, dressed up as the cutest little reindeer! 🦌 With his jingling bells and gentle nuzzles, Kevin trotted through our halls spreading joy, laughter and plenty of Christmas cheer. 💖

Our residents absolutely loved his visit — proof that even the smallest guest can bring big festive magic! 🌟❤️

✨🎅 A Festive Outing for Our Residents! 🎅✨

Last Saturday, our residents Bruce, Ray and Elvira, along with Abi from our Activities Team, were delighted to attend the annual Christmas party hosted by Silver Friends in Woking. 💛 This wonderful charity supports older adults who may experience loneliness, offering friendship and connection. 🤝✨

The event was full of Christmas cheer! 🎅
Everyone enjoyed a tasty three-course meal, thoughtful gift bags 🎁, and fantastic entertainment from Johnny, whose Elvis performance had the room smiling and tapping along. 🎶💃

It was lovely to see our residents socialising and making special memories — a true highlight of the season. ❄️❤️

A big thank you to Silver Friends for the invitation. Our residents had a super time! 🎄😊

🎄✨ Elf Day at Princess Christian Care Centre! ✨🎄
Our Home was bursting with festive fun as residents enjoyed games, cheerful activities and plenty of giggles. And of course… our very own naughty elf – Carol! 🧝‍♀️ – kept everyone on their toes, popping up to cause cheeky mischief, throwing indoor snowballs and spreading joyful chaos wherever she went! ❄️😂

The celebrations didn’t stop there… 🎶💃
We were treated to an amazing live performance from Jimmy, whose upbeat songs had everyone clapping, dancing and singing along. His energy wrapped the whole day in non-stop festive cheer and made it a celebration to remember. ✨❤️

Princess Christian – an outstanding centre of excellence

An outstanding centre of excellence providing person-centred care for elderly people with nursing needs or those who have been diagnosed with dementia or related illnesses. Princess Christian Care Centre is located in the peaceful setting of Stafford Lake in the heart of the Surrey countryside. Close to Woking and the villages of Bisley and Knaphill, we are very much part of the local community.

We are a large, modern care home comprised of three specialist units (Bisley, Pirbright and Knaphill), each with their own separate facilities, lounges and kitchens and all bedrooms have ensuite facilities. We also have an in-house hair salon. Our bright and spacious lounges overlook the courtyard and gardens and provide the perfect setting for relaxing, taking part in activities or simply spending time with family and friends who are welcome to visit at any time.

Famed for our amazing food and dining, Princess Christian is extremely proud to have received an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ from their CQC inspection in January 2020 – something that only 4% of UK Care Homes have managed to achieve. The CQC report highlights the Home’s outstanding person-centred care, responsive and knowledgeable staff, and their exceptional end-of-life care and support for both residents and their families.

Princess Christian Care Centre boasts the Investors in People Gold award and is Platinum Accredited by the Gold Standards Framework – the hallmark of superior person-centred end of life care. Our ISO 9001 certification is testament to our commitment to consistently improving the running of our Home and the efficiency of the services we provide for our residents.
