I contemplated posting the following but have decided to go ahead because it could save someone ❤️
December ‘25’ I was scheduled for a mammogram.
For those of you that await the letter that says everything is fine you know what a relief that is right?
When my letter stated that I needed ‘further investigation’ a little bit of panic set in.  I hadn’t felt a lump,I had been feeling absolutely fine.
Fast forward 2 weeks of waiting results from a magnified mammogram and biopsy I was told I had DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) aka known as ‘Early breast cancer ‘.
Within 5 weeks I was scheduled for a Lumpectomy to remove the tumour.
Today is my 1st day of radiotherapy.
I will need 5 sessions in total so will be finished next week . I was told that 30% of women DO NOT attend their mammogram. If I had of ignored my reminder, within 8 months it could have potentially become invasive.
So ladies & men please check your breasts ❤️🙌
Ps- I will return to work April 25th but will only be taking a few bookings a day for a couple of weeks.
