1. Protection
Mask fit testing is designed to provide you with the best protection against the effects of hazardous materials. It can ensure the best possible seal to your face, reducing the chances of any dangerous particles entering the mask and being inhaled.

If you wear a tight or close fitting mask to work, you are legally required to undergo a mask fit test.

3. Need a new mask

We offer two excellent fit2fit accredited courses to get you on your way to being a trained fit tester for your team:

Train the Tester Course
This course is designed to provide you with knowledge, confidence and experience necessary to effectively carry out your own qualitative face fit testing on disposable and reusable half face respirators under the careful eye of our accredited fit testers.

Price: £175.00 (When booked alongside our RPE Course you pay £300)

Book them either back to back or we recommend a month or two after you have had some practical experience ‘in the field’ and return to hone your skills and knowledge.

Train the Tester Refresher and RPE Inspection Course
This course is suitable for people who have passed training with a few months experience to have a refresher. Hands on practical and RPE training. RPE inspection training & qualitative fit testing & competency assessments. This is a one day course using the Qualitative fit testing method and run by our accredited fit testers. This course will provide fit test revision and practical training.

Elevate Your Safety with Mask Fit Testing 🦺

Face fit testing is a method used to ensure a tight-fitting mask is sealing against the wearers face to significantly reduce their exposure to any airborne hazard.

As we do not all have the same shape or size face, we cannot assume a mask is providing adequate protection unless it has undergone a face fit test.

We have fit testers based right across the UK and can come to your premises to fit test you and your employees, or you can come to our premsies in Winnersh.

Before undergoing a fit test, it is important to make a few preparations to ensure the process goes smootly:

- Bring some form of photographic ID with you.
- You must be clean-shaven within the last 8 hours within the area of the mask seal.
- Don't eat, drink (excluding plain water), chew gum, smoke, or v**e within 30 minutes of your fit test.
- Remove any make-up within the mask seal & have long hair tied back.
- Bring your glasses with you if you wear them with your mask.
- Bring any head worn personal protective equipment (PPE) with you that you would normally wear with the mask.
