Wokingham Half Marathon 💚 1:33:10

I ran really strong for the first 10 miles and then got a stitch 🤦🏻‍♀️ but you know what, I’m actually still very happy with this race. I ran well, I didn’t give up and I shared the miles with and - special mention to Nathan for literally dragging me through that stitch when I really wanted to stop 🥹 the running community is what makes all of this so special! 💚

Loved running with the team and seeing everyone kill it today, so proud 💚

I’ve had a little bit of a wobble recently!! I’ve still kept up with everything on my training plan, running 50 miles last week and 46 this week 🟢 it’s just my heads not been in it!

But finally had a little breakthrough with this run 🫶🏼

45mins warm up,
70mins at ME,
15mins cool down

When I saw 70minutes on the plan, my first thought was that I absolutely can not do this 🤣🤣🤣 even when I started the run I told myself just get to 30mins and then split it 30/40 with a short break inbetween.. but as I was running and getting closer I felt okay (ish) to keep going! I kept telling myself just 5more minutes 🤣 so I’m really surprised with myself that I didn’t give up!!!

This marathon block is just so much harder than last year, not sure what it is, but I’m just not hitting the paces like I did before and it’s grinding on me!!!! So to get so close to the pace I’d like this time around, I definitely feel that tiny bit more confident. Just need more like this please 🙏🏻

Week 5.. covering 47.6 miles and another 🟢 week 🤓😍

Ft my goofy face 🥲 I didn’t have time to take loads of photos as this was mid run so it has to do 🫣

Starting to get a bit of a routine in my new home, found a few nice routes and trialled a track night with one of the coaches for Southampton AC.. plan to trial a few more before I decide where I’m going for good 😇

Monday: 35mins easy cycle
Tuesday: Track session with Southampton AC
Wednesday AM: 60mins easy, PM: Strength Session
Thursday: 50mins easy, 5mins strides
Friday: Strength Session
Saturday: 60mins easy, 5mins strides
Sunday: 2hrs 25mins long run session

Mixing it up with an easy 50mins around London with .mcquade , can you tell our signature poses 🤣

We jumped in on the too, but we ran the route twice to increase our mileage 🤣 marathon training doesn’t stop..!

Really enjoyed that, I love the social side of running and Instagram! Enjoyed catching up with Thomas, running around London and chatting to a few others in our pace group 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼
