LOVAT HOUSE - EARLY CHRISTMAS LUNCH!
Lovat House Early Christmas Lunch was a truly wonderful occasion and a lovely way to start the festive season. The room was filled with laughter, festive cheer, and the warm company of residents, staff, and guests all coming together to celebrate.

Lovat House is a lovely, small, family run home that has held an excellent local reputation for many years. It is situated just a 5 minute walk from Wokingham High Street in an Edwardian property. Residents’ families and visitors alike remark on the warm, friendly, caring and homely atmosphere that make Lovat House so special.
We offer both Long Term residential care, and Respite/Recuperative Care. Lovat House has 23 individual bedrooms, 20 of which have en-suites, comfortable living accommodation and is set in a beautiful, sensory, wheelchair friendly garden, with quiet areas to sit in the sun or shade. Several rooms have doors leading directly onto the garden. We aim to make our residents feel that it’s home from home.
As a smaller, family run home, our dedicated staff can deliver a consistent and personalised program of care, tailored to enhance the well-being of the individual. We ensure that independence, personal choice and dignity are at the forefront of our approach. For us this is imperative, for all residents, irrespective of the level of day-to-day support required.
Our Team
Our team is highly qualified and experienced. Our Manager and Deputy Manager have a combined experience of 40 years as carers. Alongside a well-established team they ensure an excellent standard of care whilst delivering the warmth and kindness that is at the core of our home and philosophy.
All members of staff follow an NVQ training system with most carers achieving NVQ level 2 and a number at NVQ level 3. We also run in-house training sessions for all our staff members. Both the Manager and Assistant Manager are NVQ assessors.
Our carers are friendly and compassionate, contributing to a cheerful and inclusive atmosphere at Lovat House. We strive to build strong relationships with both our residents and their loved ones outside the home. We actively encourage visits from friends and extended family and offer non-restrictive visiting times to facilitate this.
The role of the family is of upmost importance to all of us at Lovat House. We welcome your family to join us for family events and to share life stories and memories with us when visiting our home. We encourage feedback and an ongoing dialogue with staff to help us make life at Lovat House the best it can be for your loved one. Our team are committed to creating the warm and loving home, with the high standard of care, we would desire for our own loved ones. Our aim is to help each resident feel that Lovat House is their home.
