MoveMindset

MoveMindset Many women struggle with the mental load that comes from juggling a career, looking after children and/or older parents.

Wellness and Lifestyle Coaching - move your body - move your mind - helping those struggling with the mental load of juggling career, motherhood and/or caregiving for more energy, better health and happiness. I help them to explore and discover their own unique path to having more energy and feeling their best. What clients discover is that there are often challenges that they are not even aware o

f which have been preventing them from reaching their goals. Small shifts can then be made, in their mindset, their physical environment or their actions. I am their guide helping them in the exploration process and supporting them through the new path that they find for themselves. Faye Andrews, Founder of Move Mindset, is a Registered Health and Wellbeing Coach at UK and International Health Coaches Association (www.UKIHCA.com), and also a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is a facilitator of PCI accredited courses teaching Health and Wellness Coaching to health professionals.

Friday 8 August 10am - Minna Wood - Minna is a friend and Nutritional Therapist, and the owner of Metawell, a personalised nutrition and coaching clinic.

Had such a great day at Mindset Unlimited Festival on Saturday!

So grateful to Matt, Drew and Alex, and the huge team of volunteers who make this event happen. It was great to see so many business owners in the Health and Wellness space in person, and a fantastic way of showing the people of Wokingham what is out there if you want to try it.....meditation, yoga, nutrition, coaching, fitness, art, the list goes on.

I'm especially grateful to Nick Andrews, who got up before 8am on a Saturday morning to help me set up, my friend and fantastic Coach Sophie Vyse who helped me all day and Gemma Bell (marketing superhero) who stopped by for some filming and moral support!

So we asked visitors the question - how much do you MOVE on average every day (MOVE - so could be ironing, food shopping, any walk, bit of stretching).

Options were:

- less than 30 mins
- 30 mins to an hour
- 1hour to 1hour 30 mins
- 1hour 30 to 2hours
- more than 2 hours

61% of those taking part did more than 2 hours of movement on average per day!!!

According to a recent report issued by the office of National Statistics, musculoskeletal conditions, which includes conditions such as osteoporosis, are the biggest single contributor of overall lost work days, making up a staggering 15.5% of the total work days in the UK.

Osteoporosis is a condition where the bones become weaker and can break more easily.

Over half of women over 50 are likely to break bones due to osteoporosis and 20% of men.

Lifestyle factors can play a part in preventing breakages, such as nutrition and movement.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society recommend that staying active is one of the best things you can do to keep your bones healthy at any age, to include:

- bone and muscle strengthening
- exercises to improve balance
- caring for your back

ROS (see www.theros.org.uk ) provides a wealth of information for anyone newly diagnosed, to include exercises especially tailored for those who have osteoporosis.

If you'd like to get moving, and want help creating those regular habits that are going to help with not just bone health but YOUR whole health, contact me, Faye for a free discovery call at: info@movemindset.com.

According to Mental Health UK 91% of adults have reported experiencing high or extreme levels of pressure or stress in the last year.

This is a staggering percentage.

The numbers help us to recognise that the majority of adults are finding the workplace extremely stressful, which I'm sure is no surprise.

You may be lucky to work for a really supportive organisation that provides fantastic support that you can access.

If not, I'd love to help you explore and discover your own unique path to feeling better.

DM me or e-mail me at info@movemindset.com for more information or a discovery call.
