Hi, I am Maria Paula Goncalves

Hi, my name is Maria Paula Goncalves, I originally qualified as a Food Engineer with a Master’s degree and a PhD in Food Science, and I am also a certified nutritionist, with a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, as well as a Functional Medicine Health Coach. For over 15 years, I have conducted research, teaching and outreach activities in the field of Food Science and Technology. I have worked in universities in Brazil and Chile, and as a visiting researcher for almost 5 years at the University of Reading, where I also collaborated with the Student Wellbeing Department as a sessional nutritionist.

I am hugely passionate about food, health and the whole person approach to wellbeing that leverages a person’s inner strengths and values. I love dedicating my time and expertise to help people implement the fantastic tools of nutrition, healthy lifestyle and mind-body interventions for the prevention of and support for physical and mental health problems.

Through one-to-one sessions and workshops/seminars I help clients find a better connection with food, lifestyle and emotions and support them in improving many aspects of their lives. I look forward to helping you unlock your health and wellbeing to truly thrive.
