I have worked in Primary Schools for 11 years, as a teacher,
PSHCE lead and qualified SENCo. I have always been passionate about the social and emotional wellbeing of the child. I first found Relax Kids when I was looking to further support my own little boy with starting school. I was captivated with the magicalness and impact it had. Becoming a Relax Kids Coach has been the beginning of a litt

le dream to further support children and families. To feel good about themselves, to develop the skills in becoming resilient, confident and able to calmly manage whatever life throws at them, with a smile on their face :)

Intense sour tastes and foods can be helpful to use as a quick sensory based grounding tool?

The sharp taste acts as a reset button for the nervous system.
The intense physical sensation in the mouth brings you in to the present moment, which moves the brains focus from spiralling anxious thoughts in to the here and now, and back into noticing bodily sensations.

Early morning, rush out the door, then standing outside for a couple of hours?….

Found a lovely surprise at the pitch side this morning, coffee and tasty flapjack by What a treat! 😃

The sun is also really trying to make an appearance too☀️

Great to have a few moments to pause and enjoy the sunshine and coffee moment, during the warm up.

You’re being told your child is fine, that they’re managing, that they just need to keep going… but at home it doesn’t feel like that at all. Things feel harder than they used to. They’re more overwhelmed, more exhausted, and you can see that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t fully explain it.

It’s a really lonely place to sit as a parent, especially when you start to question yourself or wonder if you’re missing something.

Wildflower Meadows was created from that place. Not from theory or a business plan, but from lived experience of trying to find something that actually felt right for our own children.

We offer a small, calm, relational space for children who are struggling to cope in traditional settings. There’s no pressure to fit a mould or keep up appearances, just time, safety, and support to help them begin to feel more settled and more like themselves again.

If you’re sitting with that feeling that something needs to change, you’re very welcome to reach out. It doesn’t have to be a big decision, just a conversation. Give us a call today for an informal chat!
