This summer, several of the people we support took part in a Macbeth-themed drama workshop run by Friendly Bombs Theatre Company. The workshop was made possible thanks to funding from , and it was a fantastic opportunity for creative expression, confidence-building, and fun.

The performance was full of energy, imagination, and brilliant character work, from witches and kings to castles and cauldrons!

Here’s what some of the participants had to say:

Katherine, “The play was Macbeth. At the end, we all danced to the music in the workshop which was an amazing experience, an amazing day.”

Adham, “I was the king… it was 10 out of 10, a good day for me.”

Asha added, “I was playing one of the evil witches… I had a great time.”

Daisy said, “I acted out with my arms and made sounds of the evil witch.”

A huge thank you to Friendly Bombs and to Tesco for making this possible and to everyone who took part for bringing the magic of Macbeth to life!

Our jewellery-making sessions at Community Lives day support in Wokingham have become a much-loved part of our weekly activities, giving the people we support the chance to design beautiful bracelets and necklaces, learn new skills, and express their creativity.

Recently, Emma handcrafted a stunning bracelet that was gifted to the Bishop of Oxford. He proudly wore Emma’s creation during the licensing of the new Bishop of Reading.

These sessions are all about fun, friendship, and creativity. And who knows where our jewellery will be worn next?

Clive recently ticked off a big item from his bucket list - a trip to Loch Ness in Scotland. With help from his support team, he planned and enjoyed a week-long holiday exploring the area and learning more about the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster.

“It’s great to see Clive living his dream,” said Jo, one of his support workers.

Next, Clive’s hoping to visit Hastings and enjoy the coast. We’re looking forward to supporting him on his next adventure.
