🚨 The Future of Social Care is on a Knife’s Edge 🚨

Care providers across the UK are at breaking point.
• 73% of providers say they will be forced to stop taking new local authority or NHS care packages unless urgent funding is secured (Care Provider Alliance, Nov 2024).
• 57% will have to hand back existing contracts due to financial unsustainability (Care Provider Alliance, Nov 2024).
• A recent snapshot survey found 47% of providers are already preparing to return contracts (Providers Unite, Feb 2025).

Councils can no longer afford to commission care at sustainable rates. Providers are closing. Care workers are leaving. And the government is still ignoring the crisis.

📢 Enough is enough. We need action, not excuses. If social care collapses, the entire health system follows.

🚨 Respiratory illnesses are rising across our community and we are seeing this in our hospitals.

To protect our vulnerable patients and staff, we are asking those who are visiting our inpatient areas or attending an appointment on any of our hospital sites to wear face masks.
