The way we talk to children about their differences matters.

Done with care, it can turn confusion or self-doubt into understanding, confidence and pride in who they are.

Stress speaks through the body.

Head, heart, stomach, muscles, sleep.
They’re all connected.

If something feels off, it might be your body asking for a break. 💙

“I wish people knew that my mental health is physical too.”

Many people experience physical symptoms when they’re struggling emotionally.

If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not imagining it, your body is responding to stress.

You deserve support and understanding.

Sometimes burnout doesn’t arrive all at once. It builds slowly.

For many autistic people, of all ages, everyday demands can lead to a cycle of overwhelm, exhaustion and withdrawal. Often there is pressure to keep going, keep coping and keep meeting expectations, even when energy is already running low.

Understanding this pattern is an important step in supporting autistic wellbeing. When we recognise the signs early, we can create more space for rest, reduce pressure and offer the understanding that autistic people need to recover.

Burnout is not a failure or a lack of effort. It is often the result of trying to cope in environments that ask too much for too long.

Greater awareness helps families, schools and workplaces respond with compassion rather than pressure. 💙
