💓 Building Confidence Through Care Training 💓

At Gabriel’s Angels, we believe that every skill our carers learn has the potential to save a life or change one for the better.

During our recent training session, our team developed key skills including:
🫀 CPR – a vital, life-saving skill that could one day help save the life of a loved one.
🧤 Infection Control – learning proper donning and doffing techniques following WHO guidelines to keep everyone safe.
🪶 Moving and Handling – where our carers experienced being placed in a hoist themselves, gaining a true understanding of how vulnerable a client can feel.

This powerful exercise reinforced how important it is to communicate gently, listen closely, and respect personal preferences every step of the way.

🌟 Carer Study Day at Gabriel’s Angels! 🌟

Today we welcomed five new carers to our team with a fun and engaging Carer Study Day! 🎓💜

It was a day filled with learning through laughter, sharing experiences, and supporting one another — all in the spirit of openness and honesty, in line with CQC Regulation 19: Duty of Candour.

Our senior carers joined in too, helping to create a safe, supportive space where everyone could learn, make mistakes, and grow together.

And of course… no study day is complete without tasty treats 🍪🍎☕ — from Jacky’s apple tree, Wagon Wheels, Bakewell tart, and a fresh fruit platter, to plenty of cups of tea and good company!

At Gabriel’s Angels, we truly believe that great care starts with great carers — and days like today remind us how special our team really is. 💫

Today our beautiful Angie (client) and the lovely Nyasha (carer) enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Henry Street Garden Centre. With the Christmas decorations out in full sparkle, they were definitely starting to feel a little Christmassy! 🎄✨

Angie has been part of the Gabriel’s Angels family since 2012. She isn’t just a client — she is truly family. Always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, and the warmest heart, Angie is one of the most beautiful souls you could ever meet. ❤️
