Here is a little introduction to one of our new services - Counselling

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you to help you find ways to deal with emotional issues in a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential setting. Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours so that you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you to find your own solutions, gain clarity and explore your feelings and thoughts in a way that makes sense to you. They will listen to you without judgment and help you to explore your thoughts and emotions. They may offer information, but they won’t tell you what you should think or do.

Most therapy takes place in planned, regular weekly sessions which last for 50 minutes.

Counselling can be particularly helpful with the following issues:
• Anxiety
• Stress
• Low Mood & Depression
• Relationship difficulties
• Bereavement & loss
• Divorce & separation
• Feelings of Guilt
• Self-confidence and self-esteem

Finding the right therapist is key.

A strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of effective therapy. You should feel safe, supported, and able to explore sensitive topics without fear of judgment. That includes feeling comfortable enough to share honest feedback about your sessions and how you're working together.

Here is a little introduction to another of our new services – Yoga Nidra.

In each class, you’ll be gently guided through a series of relaxation techniques, body and breath awareness, and visualisation, designed to help you let go of stress, tension, and mental chatter, allowing you to sink into a state of profound stillness and inner peace.

No experience or equipment is necessary. You will be lying down for the duration of the practice.

We offer a bespoke Yoga Nidra to specifically support your own health journey. The bespoke session includes a 30 minute coaching call, a bespoke audio recording, and follow-up support.

Alternatively, you can join our monthly group class, which lasts 45 minutes.

Introducing Vanessa Hickinbottom...

Working in a high-pressure and stressful environment for nearly thirty years, combined with the demands of home life, meant Vanessa needed to focus on her overall health and well-being.

Following a recommendation, she began practising Buteyko Breathing and soon realised that this was more than just a breathing technique. Then, after experiencing years of migraines, she visited a homeopath. These personal experiences gave her the desire, not just to help herself, but to change profession and to continue learning.

She is now a qualified Vega practitioner, Buteyko Breathing practitioner and a homeopath. Vanessa is a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths after completing a four-year degree course at the Centre for Homeopathic Education.
