We’ve had a great turnout for the last two weeks!

This is a weekly event every Friday with complimentary coffee and cake courtesy of GoodOaks Homecare - Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell

Massive thank you to The Ship Inn, Wokinghamfor hosting our first Dementia Friendly Fish & Chips event yesterday.

Goodoaks Wokingham provided free Fish & Chips and drinks for attendees in a fun, warm and happy environment. An event put on to bring the community together, discuss shared concerns, and have great conversation.

We were delighted to be joined by Wokingham Link Visiting Scheme

This is a monthly event held on the first Wednesday of every month at The Ship Inn, Wokingham. Our next event will be on 4 March 2026. 12pm - 1:30pm

Last Friday we had the most wonderful start to our weekly Dementia Friendly Coffee Club at FBC cafe in Finchampstead.

Our aim was to purely connect through shared experiences in a safe and happy environment.

Thank you to everyone that attended and remember our coffee club is a free event, every Friday at The Finchamstead Baptist Church Cafe.

GoodOaks Reading and Wokingham proudly sponsored and attended a special Jazz Night at the Whitty Theatre on 16 December. The event successfully raised vital funds for Wokingham in Need, supporting local people facing hardship. We were delighted to be part of an evening that brought the community together while helping those most in need in Wokingham and surrounding areas. Special mention to Art Themen and friends.

🎉 We had an amazing time at the Wokingham Winter Carnival! 🎉

GoodOaks Homecare Wokingham joined the Carnival for the very first time this year, sharing a stall with the wonderful Wokingham in Need charity and we were blown away by the turnout and support!

As a family-run business that launched in April, taking part in community events like this means so much to us. Our whole team (children included!) helped hand out cookies, tote bags, and information about the flexible homecare services we offer right here in Wokingham.

Many visitors were excited to learn that GoodOaks provides support from just 30 minutes a week to around the clock Live-in Care, available on both a permanent and respite basis. It was fantastic to meet so many local families and care professionals and to spread the word about the services available in the area.

A huge thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome, especially Easthampstead Rotary Club and Wokingham in Need. We loved being part of such a warm, thriving community event. 💙

Our recent survey showed that many clients worry about getting a GP appointment, and delays can really impact their wellbeing. So we’re taking action.
