The new crisis in energy prices is more proof that we have a broken economy. It works great for the rich, who just want to get richer, but is pretty pathetic in every other way. Unfortunately, it's the rich who also hold the power. We need a new economy and we need it now.

It's urgent that humans stop taking nature for granted and give it real respect. We can't live without it, however we are continually pushing it to the side with disregard. Our pollution is increasing, temperatures are going up, species are dying quickly. Life is down for the count! Including us!

The temperature of the Earth has been remarkably consistent for the last 10,000 years. One of the main reasons this has happened is because of a natural thermostatic process where the concentration of greenhouse gases changes. Humans are now breaking this process with their CO2 pollution.

I enjoyed reading this short book. Worth a read if you're interested in science, or simply curious about the world we live in.

"Seven Brief Lessons on Physics" is a short book written in 2014 by Carlo Rovelli in a style suitable for the lay person. While finishing off this book, I received a copy of "Idler" magazine that contained an interview with Carlo. He certainly seems to be an interesting man & now has a new book out.

"China should have stopped it" says the USA regarding the coronavirus. But a single case of the virus entered the USA on Jan 21 and they couldn't stop it.
