There's still time to apply to become one of our PCREF Community Ambassadors.

As an ambassador, you will lead local engagement groups and activities, making sure those patients and carers most often left out have a platform. You will host conversations, connect people, and act as a bridge between your community and Black Country Healthcare.

We are thrilled to announce our journey towards achieving the Triangle of Care accreditation! 🌟

Over the next year, we will work together to evaluate our involvement with unpaid carers and identify areas for improvement.

If you are passionate about the crucial role unpaid carers play in patient recovery, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to us at bchft.getinvolved@nhs.net for more details.

The Triangle of Care offers a three-star accreditation, starting with a focus on Mental Health Urgent Care Teams across all ages.

Every October, we celebrate Black History Month - an opportunity to honour our local Black community and their vital contributions to society and healthcare.

From the pioneering Caribbean nurses who helped establish the NHS, to today’s scientists, mathematicians, allied health professionals and leaders, Black excellence continues to shape the NHS in powerful ways.

This year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride, is a tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the Black community across the globe.

The NHS workforce is now the most diverse in its history, with Black colleagues representing 9.4% of staff, 6.3% of doctors, and 12.8% of nurses, midwives and health visitors. At Black Country Healthcare, we’re proud to have a wonderfully diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
