🫁 November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month 🫁

It’s a vital reminder to listen to our bodies and act early. While many symptoms may be caused by less serious conditions, if something doesn’t feel right—get it checked.

Early detection can make a real difference to outcomes. It’s not always smoking-related — anyone with concerning lung symptoms should see a GP.

For World Diabetes Day, we’re joining Diabetes UK in challenging the stigma around diabetes.

Let’s talk about it, learn about it, and stand with those living with diabetes. 💙

🌟 What is a Primary Care Network (PCN)? 🌟

At Lakeside Medical Centre, we’re always working hard to improve the care and support we provide for our patients. You might have heard the term “Primary Care Network” (PCN) before, but what exactly does it mean?

Seisdon Primary Care Network is a group of GP practices across the area, that work closely together with other healthcare professionals to provide a more comprehensive range of services. By teaming up with other local practices, as well as specialists and community services, we’re able to offer better and more personalised care for our patients.

👩‍⚕️ What does this mean for you?

✅Better access to a wider range of services, including physiotherapists, dietitians, health and wellbeing coaches, paramedics, general practice assistants, mental health practitioners, pharmacists, social prescribers, and care coordinators!

✅Improved care coordination ensuring you get the right support at the right time.

✅More specialists available to help with specific health needs in your community.

✅Stronger connections between healthcare professionals working together for your well-being.

By being part of a Primary Care Network, we aim to improve your overall health journey, offering a holistic approach that’s tailored to you and your needs.

Primary care networks are the new way for local health services to work together to treat populations of around 30-50,000. With the support of NHS England, p...
