And of course Marvellous Makers.

I've always had a passion to capture children’s attention and a love of learning. In addition, I aim to build confidence and self esteem and create an understanding of a positive mindset from an early age. All activities are linked through fun and play. I endeavour to make learning active and child focused.

We will start our sessions by saying hello to every one and a big hello to Marty the Marvellous Monkey. Marty will talk about the recipe of the day and will give the children a recipe card. We will discuss what ingredients we need and how they may have grown. Marty will then demonstrate how we are going to prepare our ingredients. The children will be encouraged to use their imagination for this part and act out the preparation. We may crack eggs, chop peppers, open a can or pick the fruit and vegetables.

The children will then wash their hands and begin the ‘recipe of the day’. The session gives opportunities to experiment with food and encourage healthy eating, by trying new foods. We encourage children to be actively involved with creating their product. Sessions will be planned in advance and will link well to the Eyfs.

We will discover the principles of good nutrition, what is healthy and unhealthy and how to prepare easy food and snacks whilst enjoying time with your little one. Furthermore, we will prepare a variety of dishes and enhance a multitude of skills by using different equipment. We will identify what ingredients we need and where they have come from.

The Marvellous makers team will bring all ingredients and equipment and will ensure the areas are clean and ready for you and your little one. Once prepared the children can take their food home, some recipes will need to cooked at home,

others will be ready to enjoy.

At the end of the session Marty will have some tasty treats to share and a drink too. A child will be chosen each week, as our ‘marvellous maker of the week’.

Sessions are fun and active-its all about the process and not the product at Marvellous Makers.

Sessions and times will be added over the next few days.

Although I can confirm sessions will be running in Wombourne, Trysull, Perton and Codsall.
