🎉🎂 Celebrating Channy’s Birthday! 🎂🎉

At Maplebrook, we love to celebrate our incredible team—and today, we’d like to wish a very happy birthday to Channy, our wonderful Senior Carer!

Even on her special day, Channy was here caring for our residents with her usual kindness and dedication. So the team made sure she felt appreciated! The hospitality team baked a delicious birthday cake and laid on a fantastic buffet for the team and residents to share the celebration.

A special shout-out to Chef Karl for going above and beyond to make Channy’s day extra special. 🌟

🎂🍰 Tasty Thursday Bake Off Fun at Maplebrook! 🍰🎂

Our amazing Maplebrook hospitality team took part in the Tasty Thursday Bake Off– part of Week.

The challenge? Create a showstopping large cake or a selection of mini treats inspired by nostalgic sweet treats or classic school desserts.

We went all out with a Dessert-Only Afternoon Tea theme featuring:

🍓 A triple-layer Victoria sponge topped with old-school biscuits
🧁 And some diabetic-friendly cupcakes – because everyone deserves a treat!

It’s all about creativity, flavour, and presentation, with one lucky regional winner taking home a £100 voucher!

🎉 Congratulations to Georgia and Jaz! 🎉

We’re very proud to share that two of our dedicated team members at Maplebrook have recently completed their Train the Trainer for DMI , a week-long residential course where they stayed over and fully immersed themselves in learning.

Georgia and Jaz have shown incredible commitment to their professional development, and this achievement is a testament to their hard work and passion for providing the highest quality of care.

⭐️ A big shoutout to our amazing Deputy Manager, Amy! ⭐️

Over the past 3 weeks, Amy has been busy crafting beautiful earrings, key rings, and phone charms — all to raise money for our Charity of the Year - Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Thanks to her creativity and dedication, she’s already raised an incredible £150!

Every penny goes towards making dreams come true for seriously ill children.

Well done, Amy – we’re so proud of you! 💙

Maplebrook celebrated National biscuit day yesterday and enjoyed (of course) a variety of delicious biscuits with a hot brew.

Residents also took part in a quiz - all about biscuits - which of course had biscuits for the prize winners.

The penultimate treat for National biscuit day, was a very special surprise from our talented Deputy Manager, who gifted, hand crafted cookie earrings for the ladies.

Everyone loved them and we extend a heartfelt thanks to Amy for such a thoughtful addition to the celebrations.

to Maplebrook’s heartwarming VE Day celebrations.

Our talented hospitality team delivered once again and laid on a lovely party spread, fit for a King!
There was a flag cake, a medley of sandwiches, ice cream cupcakes, cheese and biscuits plus so much more.

The party really started when Lacey B arrived, dressed for the occasion with a perfectly chosen set which she sang so beautifully. Everyone got involved and sang along!

It was the perfect way to mark such a special and important occasion.

Residents enjoyed a fitness session courtesy of Bickley Running - Personal Training and Keep Fit for the Elderly .

Those that attended worked with balls and weights to support their fitness, strength and hand to eye co-ordination.

It was another fun and beneficial session for our residents.

Residents enjoyed a fantastic performance from the very talented Miss Beth Belle-1940's & Vintage Singer .

Not only did she sound beautiful but she looked equally beautiful in her stunning ensemble.

Everyone had a wonderful time, singing and dancing along to some vintage classics.
